After a successful heist in Sin City, it’d be naive to think that the crew would call it quits. But what I didn’t see coming in this sequel is the trio leaving the luxurious modern world behind for the Wild West.
The grid is set in a spacious saloon with three empty chairs lined at the bar counter, each matching the colours of the Guys. A subtle touch I like is the tip jar on the counter.
The scene is calm and easy on the senses, maintaining the original’s vibrant cartoon-style designs. Things get a bit chaotic during the Heist Game, though, where the robbers attempt to get into a bank.
What’s more, the action is backed by a soft soundtrack that picks up pace during the bonus game.

Heist Guys 2 Mobile Slot
As is standard for most new online slots, Heist Guys 2 is mobile-friendly. It mirrors the desktop layout, and even with the many moving parts across all game modes, the visuals don’t look out of place.
I played in landscape mode for the most part on mobile casinos, as it looks more engaging and offers a broader view of the saloon. Performance-wise, I didn’t experience slow loading times or responsiveness issues.

The Heist Guys 2 slot game features roaming wilds with progressive multipliers on avalanches, State Jar with random prizes, and two main bonus games. There are also multiple Buy Bonus options.
Cascading Wins
Whenever you score a win, the winning symbols are removed from the grid and symbols from above cascade into empty positions. This creates more winning chances, and the process continues as long as new winning combinations hit.
Super Wilds
The Super Wild symbol substitutes for regular paying symbols to complete wins, and at least 1 is guaranteed to land on every spin. It naturally doesn’t come with a multiplier, but whenever it’s part of a win, it gets a 2x multiplier value.
Super Wilds don’t leave the reels on cascading wins; instead, they move into an empty position previously occupied by a winning symbol. If a Super Wild with a multiplier is part of a subsequent win, its multiplier value is doubled. So, multiplier values go from 2x to 4x, 8x, 16x, and so on.
There’s no mention of max multiplier, but note that the multiplier value resets on every losing spin. Plus, if multiple multiplier wilds are part of a win, their values are added together, and the sum applies to the potential payout.
State Jar
Whenever a state symbol (a coin) appears, it’s collected into the state jar resting on the bar counter. Each time this happens, there’s a random chance that a cash win, 8 Bonus Drops, or Heist Game is awarded.
Bonus Game and Super Bonus Drop
Just like in most regular online casino slots, landing 3 or more scatters triggers the bonus game. 3, 4, or 5 scatters award 8, 10, or 12 Bonus Drops, respectively. In a case where one or more of the bonus symbols is a Super Bonus symbol, the Super Bonus Drop is awarded.
During free spins, collected Guys remain on the chair even on losing spins, providing better chances of triggering the Heist Game. If you’re lucky enough to trigger the Heist Game, the remaining free spins are put on hold until the heist ends.
In the Super Bonus, you’ll start the round with 2 Super Wilds. Sadly, free spins can’t be retriggered.
Heist Game
Each time a Super Wild completes a win with Guy symbols, the Guy is collected on the corresponding chair. Collecting all 3 Guys in a base game spin triggers the Heist Game. It can also be randomly triggered when the State Jar is emptied.
The game unfolds on a different screen, where the Guys move along a map to the bank, avoiding patrolling guards. The twist here is that the Guys act as a single entity. Think of them as lives, meaning you start the round with 3 lives.
Each time a Guy is apprehended, he is locked behind bars in a room, and another Guy continues the quest. The round ends when all 3 robbers are captured.
Whenever a Guy moves past a room, he brings down the door and collects either a cash prize or a safe. The safe can contain any of the following prizes:
- Multipliers: Apply to the current heist win when collected.
- Guns: Eliminate cops and outlaws that come across the robber’s path.
- Key: Guarantees access into the Bank whenever any of the Guys reaches the entrance. In a case where a Key hasn’t been collected, the current Guy attempts to break the Bank door. While an unsuccessful attempt instantly ends the game, a successful one assigns each Guy to a safe.
- Dynamite: Blows up the door of the Super Safe when the Guys make it into the Bank. Here, the game’s max win of 10,000x the bet can be awarded.
The good part is that if the current Guy reaches a room where another Guy is locked, he’s freed and reactivated. A bush can also appear on the crew’s path, serving as a decoy to make it past the guards.
X-iter™ (Not Available in the UK)
You can either choose to increase your chances of triggering the bonus rounds with the ante bets or buy your way straight into them. The available options are:
- 2.50x the bet: Triples your chances of triggering either of the bonus rounds.
- 5x the bet: Increases your chances of triggering either of the bonus rounds by 7.
- 50x the bet: Triggers Heist Game.
- 100x the bet: Triggers the Bonus Game.
- 250x the bet: Triggers the Super Bonus Game.
Heist Guys 2 Verdict: A Step Forward for the Series
There’s so much to love about Heist Guys 2, as it introduces fresh ideas while refining the existing ones.
This is how you do a sequel! I thoroughly enjoyed the original Heist Guys, so I came into this second instalment with high expectations—and ELK didn’t disappoint. It builds on the prequel’s video-game-style bonus game and introduces a pair of free spins rounds into the mix.
Another improvement that got me pumped is that the values of the roaming multiplier wilds double progressively on each avalanche rather than increasing by 1x. There’s also a State Jar that can randomly trigger either of the bonus rounds or award a cash prize.
On top of that, there’s no limit to the number of steps the Guys can take on their way into the bank—all you do is sit back and watch. That said, it’s a shame that the provider hasn’t bumped up the max reward from the previous heist.
