Coming into Midnight Marauder – ClusterBreaker™, I assumed it would largely rehash the original title, with the ClusterBreaker mechanic serving as the main addition. Unfortunately, in reality, aside from the comical tone, there aren’t many similarities between the two releases.

The gameplay centres around creating winners through a combination of cluster pays and cascading reel mechanics, with each cascade doubling the win multiplier. I like that the free spins round offers an increased baseline, something different from the usual non-resetting multiplier setting.

There’s also a Hold and Win round, which surprisingly retains the ClusterBreaker mechanic. The 10,000x the bet max win is sizable. However, it’s a significant drop from the 30,000x the bet offered by the original. Beyond this, there isn’t much to criticise.
