Fruity Hold & Blitz Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Fruity Hold & Blitz slot uses a unique layout. It has 9 boards, each one featuring 3 reels and 1 row. There’s 1 payline on each board, so it’s totally different from other online slots. You need to land 3 matching symbols to create a win, so even though there’s a single payline for each board, it covers all possible winning ways, similar to Megaways slots.
You can play with between 10p and £50 per spin in the Fruity Hold & Blitz slot game. It’s a decent bet level for new slots, but UK online casino players have their stake capped at £5. All controls are on the right of the screen, with the spin and stake controls linked. There is an autoplay, but it’s not available for UK players.
The Fruity Hold & Blitz RTP is set at 95%. It’s below the best RTP slots, which is slightly frustrating. It’s also below the market average, meaning you won’t find a better rate by checking UK slot sites. The volatility is low to medium, and it felt that way while I was spinning the reels for my Fruity Hold & Blitz review.
There’s a Fruity Hold & Blitz max win of 5,539x the stake. It’s not one of the biggest payouts on the market, but it’s solid for a low to medium variance game. It’s a win cap, so you could potentially grab a higher win, but the game will cap it and only award the maximum. My best win was just over 50x my stake in the Fruity Hold & Blitz demo, leaving a lot of room to go higher. If you think you can go above what I managed, there’s a free slots game to try right here on this page.
Fruity Hold & Blitz Theme—Traditional Fruit Machine, with a Unique Twist
The graphics in Fruity Hold & Blitz are excellent. It gives classic fruit machine symbols a modern update and sets the scene superbly. All of the symbols are clearly designed and pop out from the reels. The only minor downside is that the 9 board layout does make everything slightly small on the reels. You can still see what lands, but it would be nice if things were a bit bigger. Despite this, Iron Dog Studios has done a solid job with the visuals.
I’m torn with the sounds at Fruity Hold & Blitz casinos. The music is upbeat, but it doesn’t feel in line with the theme. It feels more appropriate for a circus. While it’s not bad, it just felt like a little bit of a disconnect.

Fruity Hold & Blitz Mobile Slot
I was disappointed with the Fruity Hold & Blitz mobile slot. While it retains the quality of the desktop game, it has the same main drawback. The symbols are a bit too small, and unless you’re playing on a tablet, it can be challenging to follow the action. The controls work well and are responsive, which is a positive.
It’s best to play this mobile casino game in landscape mode. When I played in portrait, it was almost unplayable; I could hardly see anything on the reels. It was better in landscape, but it wasn’t as clear as it should be.
Fruity Hold & Blitz Bonus Features
There’s a lack of Fruity Hold & Win bonus features in the base game. Instead, it has a bonus round that can trigger at any time.
Hold & Blitz
If you land 3 coins on any 1 of the 9 game boards, it triggers the Hold & Blitz round. This is a respin feature, with each row of 3 boards acting independently. You get 3 respins for each row, and landing a new coin on a row will lock it in place and reset the respin counter for that row. It means that you can have 1 of the rows active while the other 2 don’t get any more respins. The number of available respins is shown as diamonds for each row, making it easy to keep up with where the game stands.
Filling a row with coins will award the jackpot for that row. The top row awards 150x the stake, the middle row awards 50x, and the bottom right awards 15x the stake. Each coin that lands on a space is worth up to 12x the stake. If you manage to completely fill all 9 boards, you get the mega jackpot of 5,000x the stake.
Ante Bet (Unavailable at UK Online Casinos)
You can turn on the ante bet on any spin. It increases the size of the payout by 50%, although the payable won’t change. In return, it doubles the chance of triggering the Hold & Blitz feature.
Fruity Hold & Blitz Verdict: An Interesting Idea but Missing Core Gameplay
Fruity Hold & Blitz is an interesting slot. The moment I loaded it up, it felt like nothing I’d seen before. The 9 separate boards, each one with a 3-reel, single row, and a single payline, are an innovative setup. However, it feels a bit like a gimmick, as the gameplay mechanics are pretty vanilla. Each reel works independently of the others. They can all create wins on their own, and don’t need to create them together to make a payout. Despite this, they come together when you trigger the bonus round.
It’s the bonus round that really creates the excitement. The Hold & Blitz feature works across all 9 boards, split into 3 rows. It means you need to keep your eyes on it, as it’s fast-paced and changes rapidly. It doesn’t quite come together in a coherent fashion, as the bonus round is significantly better than the base game. If you’re willing to play purely for the bonus round, then this game is an innovative and interesting way to spin.
