A slight improvement comes in the form of the sounds. There are good sound effects when the reels spin, which fit the theme very well. The music at Sweet Candy Blitz casinos is decent, too, with a pleasant upbeat tune playing all the way through. It’s still quite generic, though, so don’t expect anything groundbreaking here.

The Sweet Candy Blitz mobile slot has a slightly frustrating design. It’s evidently been designed purely for portrait gameplay, and the 3×5 grid makes this obvious. I much prefer playing in landscape, and the upright reels don’t sit right in that mode.
This is purely a personal preference, but it would improve the game significantly if it handled landscape better, as it would make it more accessible to all mobile casino players.

The Sweet Candy Blitz bonus features all revolve around a single factor. While they’re not too bad, it does mean things can be a little bit one-note while you’re playing.
Coin Collection
The coin value symbols can only appear on the first or third reels. When they land on their own, they don’t do anything but block off paylines. However, if a collection symbol lands on the middle reel, it collects the coins and awards the value as a payout.
Coin Shower
On any spin, there can be a random coin shower awarded. It will add coins to the reels and guarantees a Hold & Win round. As it’s random, it doesn’t matter how many coins you collect during the course of the game; the animation is purely aesthetic and doesn’t impact gameplay.
Hold & Win
The Hold & Win feature triggers when you land a collect symbol on the middle reel and a coin on both the first and last reels. The coin shower also triggers this feature. It takes you to a new set of reels that has the same layout as the base game. It keeps the collect symbol in place, and on the other positions, only coins, collect symbols, and empty spaces can land.
You get 3 respins in this feature, and whenever coins or collect symbols land, they reset the counter. What’s different from other Hold & Win features is that the coins aren’t held when they land. The collect symbol grabs their value and adds it to the total win. If other collect symbols land, they become sticky as well, which increases how much you get when coins land.
You can also land jackpot symbols during this round, which pay up to 1,000x. The maximum win is available in this round, and if you hit the 5,000x top win, the round will pay out and instantly end. The feature continues until you hit the top win or run out of respins.
Sweet Candy Blitz Verdict: Below What Other Sweets Slots Offer
When you use a theme that other games have done well, you run the risk of being compared to them. Unfortunately, for Sweet Candy Blitz, it doesn’t live up to what other games offer. The gameplay does try something different, using a switched-around grid, but it doesn’t deliver. A big issue for me is that the base game is quite boring. It took me over 400 spins to hit the bonus round, which was fun when it landed, but those 400+ spins were a chore.
The maximum payout is what saves this game, as I think any game at that level instantly goes above the average. I do think it could be saved quite easily, as adding an extra 20 paylines and cascading reels would make this a lot more enjoyable. However, in its current state, Sweet Candy Blitz isn’t worth playing. There are other games that use sweets as the theme, and they have far superior gameplay.
