Bonus Game
Whenever either Cash or Collect symbols don’t land together, any that appear on the reels are collected into the mouse’s sack. Each collection has a random chance of triggering the bonus game.
Alternatively, you can trigger the round instantly by landing a Collect symbol alongside Cash symbols on reels 1 and 3. The bonus round uses the familiar Hold and Win mechanic.
At the start of the round, you’re awarded 3 respins, and only Cash and Collect symbols can land on the reels. Either of them resets the respins whenever they appear. Collect symbols remain sticky on the reels, collecting the prizes on Cash symbols that appear. After which the Cash symbol is removed.
The round ends when you use up the awarded respins or fill up the grid with Collect symbols. I was lucky enough to trigger the bonus within my first 50 spins during my Candy Treasures 3 Reels review and another one less than 100 spins later. However, the payouts were not encouraging.
Multipliers
In the base game, jugs with multiplier values are positioned on reels 1 and 3. Chocolate pours from the jugs onto the reels, flowing down a row on each spin. The multiplier values start from 2x and can reach up to 256x, applying to each Cash value that appears on the corresponding reel.
Once the multiplier is applied, the chocolate resets to the top of the row, and the multiplier doubles for the next cycle. Similarly, whenever the flowing chocolate reaches the bottom row, the multiplier value doubles and the process continues.
Buy Bonus (Unavailable in the UK)

It doesn’t build on the initial release. Instead, it takes a safer approach that largely feels dull.
Candy Treasures 3 Reels feels less like a sequel to the original Candy Treasures; if anything, it completely reinvents the gameplay. The title gives a hint at the 3-reel classic approach, with the cliché Cash Collect mechanic taking the spotlight.
Although the sugar-coated designs and even the chocolate jar in the bonus round might whet your appetite, they don’t translate into satisfying gameplay. It’s the same combination of the Cash Collect mechanic and Hold and Win round, a formula that’s starting to get stale.
On the brighter side, Indigo Magic has increased the bonus game’s doubling multiplier, raising the maximum from 128x in the initial release to 256x. Even so, I am still not convinced that the weighty max win of 20,570x the bet is achievable.
All in all, Candy Treasures 3 Reels is a decent addition to Indigo Magic’s 3-reel catalogue, faring much better than Golden Gal’s 3 Reels.
