Pharaoh’s Last Wish Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Pharaoh’s Last Wish slot is a cluster pays slot with a 6×5 gaming grid. Winners are not created along fixed paylines like regular online slots. Instead, you must connect at least 5 matching symbols in a cluster (horizontally or vertically) anywhere on the grid.
Every win triggers a tumble, where the winning symbols explode from the reels, and the remaining symbols cascade into vacant positions, just like in Megaways slots. The process continues as long as you score a winning combination.
You can stake between 20p and £100 per spin (capped at £5 in the UK), quite accommodating for all pockets. As usual, there are autoplay and turbo modes in the menu panel for players outside UK Pharaoh’s Last Wish casinos.
The default Pharaoh’s Last Wish RTP is 96.1%, just a touch above average. Unlike many new online slots, this one doesn’t come in lower RTP versions, so you don’t need to scour around operators for the highest rate.
Meanwhile, volatility falls in the medium range, and it was evident during my playtest. I escaped extended barren spells, but still, my payouts weren’t as big as I would’ve wanted. Speaking of payouts, the Pharaoh’s Last Wish max win is 10,000x the bet, decent enough for the pharaonic adventure.
Pharaoh’s Last Wish Theme—Relaxing Egyptian Experience
Egyptian slots are ten a penny in the industry, which leaves software providers with the headache of introducing fresh visuals with each release. This has never been an issue for Relax Gaming; on its last trip to the pyramids in Glyph of Gods, we got a futuristic overhaul.
That said, the provider has kept things rather simple and relaxing in the Pharaoh’s Last Wish slot game. The stone-carved grid is framed by the Sphinxes of Giza, set in the Egyptian desert with palm trees and the River Nile. Pyramids bathed in golden glow also appear in the distance.
Although I would have loved to see more animations on my screen, the modest approach does the job, so I can’t complain too much. A slow-paced rhythm of flutes, horns, and drums plays in the background, complementing the warm atmosphere.
Here’s a peek into the paytable at UK online casinos:
| Symbol | Payouts/Info |
|---|---|
J | 5 to 36 = 0.1 to 2,000x the stake |
Q | 5 to 36 = 0.1 to 2,000x the stake |
K | 5 to 36 = 0.1 to 2,000x the stake |
A | 5 to 36 = 0.1 to 2,000x the stake |
Lotus Flower | 5 to 36 = 0.5 to 3,000x the stake |
Ankh | 5 to 36 = 0.8 to 4,000x the stake |
Scarab | 5 to 36 = 1.5 to 5,000x the stake |
Queen | 5 to 36 = 2 to 7,000x the stake |
Pharaoh | 5 to 36 = 2.5 to 10,000x the stake |
Pyramid (Scatter) | Triggers the Free Spins round |
Serpents (Wild) | Substitutes for all paying symbols except scatter |
Pharaoh’s Last Wish Mobile Slot
I had a great time playing the Pharaoh’s Last Wish demo on mobile casinos. The interface scales well to smaller screens without looking cluttered or out of place. Likewise, the controls are responsive and sit within thumb’s reach.
For most of the time I compiled my review, I played in portrait mode, which isn’t far-fetched. The grid sits closer to the screen and doesn’t chop off the background details, unlike some modern free online slots.
Pharaoh’s Last Wish Bonus Features
The Levels of Progression mechanic takes the spotlight here, featuring 5 levels, each with distinct offers. There are also random multipliers and a free spins round.
Levels of Progression
The game features a Progression Level mechanic, where you can ascend through 5 levels by collecting a certain number of winning symbols. Each level has a special offer, as detailed below:
- Level 0: It’s the start of the base game.
- Level 1: It’s unlocked by 80 winning symbols. A colossal form of a random paying symbol of size 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 can randomly appear on any spin, increasing your chances of forming bigger clusters.
- Level 2: It’s unlocked by 100 winning symbols. It introduces a Symbol Destroy feature alongside the Colossal symbols. At least 5 random paying symbols, except Pharaoh, will be destroyed, creating vacant positions for new symbols to fall into.
- Level 3: It’s unlocked by 120 winning symbols, and the Extra Wild feature is the addition here. It throws between 3 and 5 wilds into random positions occupied by paying symbols.
- Level 4: It’s unlocked by 140 winning symbols and offers a Symbol Transform feature. 5 or more paying symbols, except scatters, are randomly transformed into higher paying symbols. Colossal symbols can also be transformed.
- Level 5: It’s unlocked by 180 winning symbols. Here, the grid expands to a 6×6 setup, and all the features from the previous levels are available.
Random Multipliers
The multiplier symbol is represented by the Eye of Ra, and it carries values ranging from 2x to a whopping 100x. Whenever it lands on the reels on a winning spin, its value applies to the total payout on the spin.
Free Spins
The game’s main action lies in the Free Spins round, and it’s triggered by landing 3 scatters on the reels—just like in some of the best online slots. However, free spins can only be triggered from level 5, which doesn’t sit well with me.
The bonus round plays out on a 6×6 grid, and you’ll be awarded 10 free spins and 1x multiplier at the start. Plus, all the features from lower progression levels are available.
Scatters that appear are collected, and every 4th one awards an extra 5 spins and unlocks the next level. The multiplier value is progressive, increasing at each level:
- Level 1: 1x multiplier
- Level 2: 2x multiplier
- Level 3: 5x multiplier
- Level 4: 10x multiplier
The progression level resets at the completion of the bonus round.
Feature Buy (Unavailable in the UK)
You can skip the hassle and jump straight into the bonus round by activating the Feature Buy option. It costs 75x the bet and guarantees you trigger the Free Spins round.
Pharaoh’s Last Wish Verdict: Gameplay Doesn’t Offer Instant Thrill
It’s understandable that Relax Gaming intends to bring something fresh to the classic ancient Egypt theme, but the level progression mechanic isn’t it, in my opinion. It’s a slow burn and requires great patience to get the juice out, which can become tiring over time.
Even more disappointing is the fact that free spins can only be triggered from the 5th level. To put it into context, you must land at least 180 winning symbols before you even have a shot at the bonus round. Sadly, you return to level 1 after the round.
The game has some good sides, though. Each level unlocks new modifiers, which remain available on the next level. There are random multipliers of up to 100x in all game modes.
If you have the patience of a saint, Pharaoh’s Last Wish might be an ideal pick to explore the pyramids.
