Castle Cash Megaways™ Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Castle Cash Megaways™ slot game runs on a 6-reel layout with a top row that adds symbols to reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Each reel, either by itself or with the help from the top, can show up to 7 symbols. From the moment I tried out the Castle Cash Megaways™ demo, I’d focus on matching adjacent symbols from left to right, no matter their size.
Since it’s a Megaways slot, each spin gave me up to 117,649 possible ways to win. And every time a payout was triggered, the symbols involved would get replaced with new ones being dropped in from above on the main reels and from the right on the top reel.
To adjust your bet, click on Total Bet below the reels or the coins icon from the side menu and pick your stake, starting at 20p. There are 14 options altogether, with the upper limit sitting at £23. Unlike some other online slots, this one doesn’t really cater to high rollers. Also, you can set up to 1,000 auto spins if you’re playing at non-UK Castle Cash Megaways™ casinos.
The Castle Cash Megaways™ RTP sits at 96.1%. It’s not really what you can see in the best online slots, but it’s the industry average. That said, ReelPlay has released lower setups, too, namely 94% and even 90.5%, so I’d definitely suggest finding the version with the best return at your favourite UK online casinos. And if you’re into high-volatility games, this one’s for you.
When it comes to the Castle Cash Megaways™ max win, it goes up to 10,158x your stake. I found that taking advantage of the cascading wins mechanic and features like the bonus respins was the best way to build momentum.
Castle Cash Megaways™ Theme—A Dungeon With Kings, Beasts, and a Whole Lot of Trouble Brewing
Castle Cash Megaways™ has a full-blown fantasy setup. You’re looking at a giant fortress with stone towers in this medieval town, with red flags hanging off the walls and a river cutting through a bright green valley.
Sound-wise, you can enjoy a medieval-style track running in the background. However, it’s broken up by all the animated effects of the reels dropping in, features kicking off, and payout hits landing one after another.
I loved the fact that the low-paying symbols are the more muted ones colour-wise, compared to the high-value icons, which are way more vibrant. Speaking of that, you’ve got the usual 9 to A card ranks on the lower end, but they’re styled in medieval calligraphy. There are also 4 main characters, plus a scatter and a wild.
Here’s a closer look at what each one pays:

Castle Cash Megaways™ Mobile Slot
As you’d expect from new slots, the Castle Cash Megaways™ mobile game runs on HTML5, so everything—from the look and sound to gameplay—stays consistent whether you’re on Android or iPhone.
When playing in portrait mode on mobile casinos, the reels shift to the centre and the main menu tucks in below. If you flip to landscape, it sticks with the same layout as its desktop counterpart.
If you’re new to playing on mobile, I’d definitely say give the game a try and see how it feels on a smaller device. For comparison, we have thousands of free-to-play slots you can test to find one that best matches your gaming needs.
Castle Cash Megaways™ Bonus Features
The bonus respins are the only extra feature in the Castle Cash Megaways™ slot. While there’s a lot to unpack, it still feels like the game could’ve used a little something else.
Bonus Respins
You’ll trigger the Bonus Respins when 6 or more Scatters land at once, which gets you 3 spins to start with. Those Scatters stay locked in place while the rest of the grid spins again for a shot at landing high-pay icons in the empty spots, although you could also land a blank.
The only symbols that can appear in the vacant positions are known as prize symbols. These could be Monsters (Dragons, Minotaurs, Trolls, and Goblins), the Wild, and the Scatter.
Monster and Scatter symbols can both show prize values, either non-bonus or bonus ones. Also, each Monster has a set amount of lives. The Dragon starts with 4 lives, while the Minotaur has 3. The Troll comes in with 2, and the Goblin only gets 1.
You’ll only ever see one Knight (Wild) per spin, and it won’t appear unless there’s already a Monster on the screen. When it does land, it adds up the prize values from every Monster that still has life left and collects that total for itself. Right after that, each Monster on the screen loses one life point, and a red bar appears over them, showing how much life they’ve got left.
If you land a new Prize symbol during any spin, that one locks in and resets your spin count back to 3. That cycle keeps going as long as you keep landing new ones or until the grid fills up completely. When either of those happens, the round ends, and every prize on the screen pays out, no matter if it’s a non-bonus or bonus prize.
Bonus Prizes and Non-Bonus Multipliers
There are 4 types of bonus prizes that can drop: Mini at 10x, Minor at 50x, Major at 250x, and Grand at 2,000x your total bet. You can land the Mini and Minor more than once in a single round, but Major and Grand can only show up once per feature.
As for the non-bonus prize multipliers, Goblins start paying out at 1x and Trolls at 1.5x, while Minotaurs begin at 2x and Dragons at 2.5x, with each one topping out at 100x your bet. Scatters can also land values between 1x and 100x.
Castle Cash Megaways™ Slot Verdict: Castle Battles, Cascades, and a Bonus Round With Real Bite
The base game of the Castle Cash Megaways™ is packed with ever-changing ways to win and cascading mechanics. There’s not a ton of variety when it comes to features. However, the Bonus Respins round brings more depth than I expected, thanks to the life-based Monster system and the way the Knight pulls value across the board.
I highly appreciate the visuals being of the best quality. Plus, everything on the screen, from the symbols to the small details in the background, is great fun and fantasy-inspired. If you’re comfortable with high volatility, you’ve got a strong foundation to work with. Particularly, the RTP is solid, the max win goes up to 10,158x, and mobile play is smooth whether you’re in portrait or landscape.
If you’re after more fantasy-style slots, you might want to check out Dragons’ Lock from Red Tiger. Another option could be Pragmatic’s Dragon Kingdom: Eyes of Fire.
