Tanked 3: First Blood 2 Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Available at most UK online casinos, Tanked 3: First Blood 2 plays out on a 7-reel grid with an unusual setup: 4-5-6-5-6-5-4. The grid can expand 3 times, growing to a maximum of 13 reels. It features an innovative xLoot™ pay system that awards a win when moving characters pick up corresponding gemstones.
Enter the battle with stakes from 20p up to £100 per spin. While it’s within the typical range for many new slots online, wagers in the UK are capped at £5. There’s an autoplay function with stop limits and a turbo mode for lightning-fast spins, but neither is available in the UK.
Nolimit City sets the default Tanked 3: First Blood 2 RTP at 95.99%, with lower variants of 95.33%, 94.01%, and 92.01% also widely available. This places the title well behind some of the best payout slots around.
The game’s volatility is high, rated 8 out of 10, not as brutal as some releases in the provider’s catalogue. As usual, the payout has a high ceiling, with the Tanked 3: First Blood 2 max win reaching up to 25,584x the bet. It’s a touch above the 25,000x the bet offered by the original Tanked, released in 2024.
Tanked 3: First Blood 2 Theme—Join the War Between Four Clans
Coming into Tanked 3: First Blood 2, I thought I had somehow missed the release of the second instalment. After a bit of digging, it turns out that Nolimit City has jumped from the original to Tanked 3. As if it wasn’t confusing enough, this is also the very first First Blood release—a Rambo vibe.
The four clans are still at war, and their commanders continue to roam the reels, with no one willing to call a truce. The location has changed to a hexagonal sandy background surrounded by dense vegetation. It looks more friendly than the original’s rugged terrain—at least, until the nukes start to drop.
The soundtrack is intense and fits the war theme well. But with the quirky characters, it’s difficult to take the game too seriously.
Here’s the paytable:
| Symbols | Info/Payouts |
Blue Gem | Levels 1 to 7 = 0.05 to 3x the bet |
Green Gem | Levels 1 to 7 = 0.05 to 4x the bet |
Orange Gem | Levels 1 to 7 = 0.1 to 5x the bet |
Pink Gem | Levels 1 to 7 = 0.15 to 10x the bet |
Wild | Substitutes for all paying symbols |

Tanked 3: First Blood 2 Mobile Slot
Playing at Tanked 3: First Blood 2 casinos on mobile, you’ll enjoy the same quirky visuals and fast-paced audio as on desktop. I didn’t notice any loading issues while spinning the reels, and as is standard with the best online slots, it supports play in both landscape and portrait modes.
The graphics don’t look cramped in either screen orientation, and nothing looks out of place on mobile casinos.
Tanked 3: First Blood 2 Bonus Features
In terms of bonus features, Tanked 3: First Blood 2 stands up well against some of the top free online slots around. The features include grid expansion, Tank Boosters, Coins, Coinburst, a trio of bonus games, and several buy bonus options.
xLoot™
The game doesn’t use fixed paylines or other pay systems found in online slot games. Instead, it features an innovative xLoot™ mechanic. Whenever any roaming character lands adjacent to a corresponding gemstone, it collects it and other connected gemstones, then awards a payout.
Payouts are calculated by multiplying the number of collected gemstones by their value.
What’s more, a character can kill another character in view, increasing its gemstone payout level by 1. Each gem has 7 payout levels, and its value increases every time it’s upgraded.
Lastly, after each win, the winning symbols are removed from the reels, leaving room for new symbols to cascade into empty positions. With this, the moving characters can collect corresponding gemstones several times on a spin.
Grid Expansion
The grid has 4 sections: top left, bottom left, top right, and bottom right. Each section expands by 1 step at a time, up to a total of 3 times. When fully expanded, the grid has a 9-10-11-12-13-12-11-12-13-12-11-10-9 configuration.
Expansion follows the direction of the exploded bomb. A Big Boom expands all sections by 1 step, while Rocket and Loot Rocket expand the section closest to the explosion. Additionally, expanded sections contain at least 1 feature symbol.
I’ll discuss the Bombs and Tank Boosters in more detail in the headings ahead.
Coin & Coinburst
Coins can randomly appear on reels, carrying values ranging from 1x to 5,000x the bet. Whenever a character collects a Coin, its value is instantly awarded. In a case where the character is killed, the collected Coin will be dropped on the grid, but the prize will still be retained.
The character can also collect a Coinburst symbol, which transforms all the positions traversed by the character into Coins.
Tank Boosters
The game features 5 Tank Boosters that can randomly appear on the reels, and the character can pick any of them. Each Tank Booster has a distinct function, as detailed below:
- Rocket: Shoots the wall next to another character. An explosion then occurs, removing all characters and gemstones in the mapped area and increasing the grid section size by 1 step
- Loot Rocket: Acts like Rocket and picks up feature symbols left behind by a killed character
- Grenade: Explodes and removes a random character and all the symbols in the explosion pattern
- Hatchet: The character holding it will remain on the reel while all characters and gemstones within the explosion-mapped area are removed
- Airstrike: Strikes 2 or 3 characters and removes all characters and gemstones within the explosion-mapped area
Note that symbols removed by the Tank Boosters will reappear when new symbols cascade into empty positions. If the character had collected Tank Boosters before the explosion, it remains with it when it reappears.
Bombs
You’ll find 2 types of Bombs on the reels:
- Regular Bomb—Expands in 1 direction
- Three-Way Bomb—Expands in 3 directions
When all Tank Boosters have been activated and no characters can move, the bombs are then triggered. The bomb explodes in the direction where it points, and the grid expands in that direction after the affected characters and gemstones are removed.
Pickpockets & Booms
When 2 characters are side by side but neither can move, there’s a chance that one of them is awarded a Tank Booster, Coinburst, or Bonus symbol. This feature is called Pickpocket.
There’s also a Small Boom feature that triggers when 3 characters are next to each other, but there’s no chance to move. The character with the potential to remove the most symbols from the grid will explode, removing all characters and gemstones in the explosion pattern. Remaining gemstones that match the exploding characters will gain a +1 payout level upgrade.
Furthermore, when the 4 characters are next to each other but can’t roam around, the Big Boom feature is unlocked. The characters will explode, removing all gemstones from the reels and expanding each grid section by 1. Also, all gems will get a +1 payout level upgrade.
xGlitch™
xGlitch™ feature triggers when a character is limited to picking only 1 gemstone, causing only feature symbols to fall during subsequent cascades. It can repeat anywhere from 4 to 50 times, which creates a sort of glitch in the game.
Bonus Games
The game comes with a trio of bonus rounds, which can be triggered whenever a character collects 3 or more bonus symbols on a spin. Each round awards 7 bonus spins, but the available modifiers depend on how many scatters are collected.
- Thresher Spins: Thresher spins are awarded when the character collects 3 scatters. The current gem payout level and grid setup carry into the round and remain persistent. Every bonus symbol collected will award an extra spin
- Reaper Spins: It’s triggered when the character collects 4 scatters. It keeps the Thresher Spins mechanics while introducing sticky Coins, which remain on the reels until they are collected
- Dead Pay Well Spins: Collecting 5 scatters triggers the Dead Pay Well Spins. Whenever a character collects a Coin, its prize is awarded and then carried through the remaining spins. In a case where a character is killed, all collected Coins are dropped on adjacent positions on the grid
xTra™ Spin, Nolimit Booster, and Nolimit Bonus (Unavailable in the UK)
At the end of any random game round, you may be offered the chance to purchase an extra spin with Tank Booster options. The spin cost is calculated based on the reel configuration. But note that the option is only available if the xTra™ Spin cost doesn’t exceed the round’s total payout.
You can also boost the base game spins by activating any of the following Nolimit Booster options:
- Bonus Blitz (2x the bet): Guarantees 1 bonus symbol lands
- Coinburst (50x the bet): Guarantees 1 Coinburst symbol lands
- Maxed Out (200x the bet): Guarantees the game is played on the maximum expanded grid and all gems at their highest payout values
- xGod® Mode (4,000x the bet): Guarantees a max win symbol lands
Alternatively, you can buy your way into the bonus round with the Nolimit Bonus options, as follows:
- 100x the bet: 7 Thresher Spins
- 300x the bet: 7 Reaper Spins
- 800x the bet: 7 Dead Pay Well spins
- 325x the bet: Randomly triggers any of the 3 bonus rounds, with Thresher Spins having twice as many chances as the other two
Tanked 3: First Blood 2 Verdict: Gameplay Feels Too Chaotic
With so much happening on the screen, Tanked 3: First Blood 2 can feel quite noisy. Besides, it doesn’t feel like a huge leap forward for the series and is certainly not the provider’s best work.
I don’t know Nolimit City’s reasoning behind jumping straight to Tanked 3 without a Tanked 2. But if the intention was to spark curiosity, then they got me good. The slot does its part as well, particularly given the game’s war theme.
The grid configuration looks unconventional, unlike the original Tanked, and it can now expand to as many as 13 reels. Nonetheless, it still maintains its gemstone-eating mechanic, xLoot™, inspired by ELK Studios’ Pirots.
Nolimit has reeled in a third bonus round into this sequel and slightly bumped up the max win to 25,584x the bet. However, it wouldn’t have hurt to keep the increasing multipliers.
Lastly, the gameplay might take some getting used to, even for seasoned players. I’d suggest you get familiar with the gameplay through the Tanked 3: First Blood 2 demo.
