Snake Arena Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Snake Arena slot comes with 5 reels, 5 rows and 30 fixed paylines. Land a win when you see 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols from left to right on any of the paylines, beginning from reel 1 (the far left reel).
The bet range is from 10p to £100 a spin. Look out for the Bet box below the reels which has plus and minus buttons which can be used to change your stake to your needs. If you’re playing from outside the UK, there are Turbo Mode and Autoplay functions.
The Snake Arena RTP is 96.25% which is better than the 96% online slots average. It’s also lower than other Relax Gaming on the whole which is around the 96.5% mark. Wins will land every 4.36 spins as the hit frequency rate is 22.92%.
High volatility (5/5), the max win is 2,758.8 x your total stake. The bigger wins will come in the Free Spins feature where an extra prize of 1,000 x stake is up for grabs. The average win in the feature is 60.5 x bet so bear that in mind.
Theme – knights and snakes go head to head
With a medieval theme, the Snake Area slot takes you a battlefield where knights and snakes go head to head with the winner taking all. Graphically, it looks like the Clash of Clans strategy game which, as of 2020, is in the top 50 grossing apps in both the Play and App stores.
With an uplifting soundtrack, the 5×5 grid is set within castle walls. Symbols include 4 different coloured low value coins (silver, blue, bronze and gold). The higher value symbols are represented by beer steins, ham joints with a dagger through them, an eyeball ring and crown. The crown symbol pays the most with 3, 4 or 5 in combination rewarding you with 1, 5 or 20 x your total stake.
Snake of Arena benefits from 2 wild symbols. You have the knight and the snake head which substitute for all other symbols to make up a winning combination. The 2 wilds will need to land simultaneously to activate the free spins though.

Snake Arena Mobile
Produced by Relax Gaming with HTML5 technology, Snake Area is available to play on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The 5×5 reel layout lends itself well to mobile devices too. This includes ones using iOS, Android and Windows operating systems.
Snake Arena Bonus Features
The Snake Area slot has 3 bonus features. With random wild reels, it’s all about the free spins where the snake moves around the reels awarding wilds. This continues until the snake eats itself. If you fill reels 2-5, you’ll win a 1,000 x stake prize on top of your winnings.
Wild Chase feature
The Wild Chase feature is triggered at randomly on any base game spin. The snake peeks out above 1 random reel and the knight peeks out below 1 reel simultaneously. This can occur up to 3 times. If they peek at the same reels, the reel becomes wild.
This process is then repeated. If they haven’t matched on the 3rd go, no more wild reels will be awarded. You’re guaranteed to land at least 1 wild reel but up to 5 reels can become fully wild.
Free Spins feature
The Free Spins feature is played when the snake head wild lands on reel 1 and the knight wild lands on any other reel. Once in, a knight wild lands on every single free spin. Free spins are awarded until reel 2-5 is filled up by the snake or the snake crashes into itself. This is like the classic Snake video game make popular on Nokia mobile phones from 1998.
Before each free spin, the snake moves towards the knight. The snake will take the shortest possible route. This adds more snake head wilds to the reels. The free spins stop and the feature ends when the snake crashes into itself. If the snake covers reels 2 to 5 entirely, a jackpot of 1,000 x stake is won. This is on top of any winnings won from previous free spins.
In some countries, there’s a Buy feature. This allows you to buy your way into the Free Spins feature for 70 x your total stake. It’s not available to UK slot players though.
Snake Arena Review Summary – fans of the classic Nokia game will be pleased
The Snake Area slot will appeal to players who had a Nokia device in the late 90s or early millennium. With random wild reels in the base game, it’s all about the Free Spins feature where the slot comes to life.
You want the snake to twist and turn and avoid itself to give you plenty of wilds. Filling reels 2 to 5 entirely will also reward you with a 1,000 x bet jackpot on top of your winnings. Highly volatile, a screen full of the highest value symbol will result in a 600 x stake payout. This means you’ll need to see the snake not eat itself for a large number of free spins to achieve anywhere near the 2,758.8 x stake max win advertised.
With so many online slots to choose from, Relax Gaming have incorporated a classic game into the Free Spins feature which can give you decent wins if you’re luck is in.
It reminds me of the Anaconda Wild slot from Playtech where the snake moves around the reels leaving a trail of wilds in its path. There are better Relax Gaming slots though with Beast Mode one of my favourites.
