Theme: join the smoking and drinking Kraken on the ship
Although this is supposed to be Kraken’s Sky Bounty, Kraken the sea monster isn’t really the main focus. The reels are set on a pirate ship, with cannons being blasted on either side of the reels to add to the overall intensity. Visually, it’s pretty good, albeit fairly basic. The provider has done a good job here with the colourful symbols and the crisp graphics.
In terms of the soundtrack, the base game audio sounds more like you might be at a circus rather than on a pirate ship. Land the Free Spins feature and day turns to night with the audio intensifying to sound more like you’re fighting pirates. The bonus round soundtrack is much more appealing than the base game audio in my opinion.
On the reels, the different coloured gemstones make up the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by higher-paying bottles of rum, helms, cannons and swords. The swords symbol is the most lucrative, paying 1.2, 4, 8 or 20 x the bet for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination respectively.

Sky Bounty Review Summary: a solid Pragmatic release
There’s not a lot to pick out in the Sky Bounty slot in terms of negatives. If you were being picky, you might say that the max win could be higher and the volatility a little lower, but, overall, it’s been put together really well in my opinion. The bonus features are really straightforward and easy to understand, which some will like and others won’t. There’s always a fine line between a lack of bonus features and too many. This slot is arguably on the small side in that regard but what is on offer is good fun to play.
However, I can’t help but feel the provider could have gone a step further with this slot to make it great. With a lot of Pragmatic, I’m left wanting more in all honesty. But they produce games with such regularity that the developers might not spend too much time innovating with a lot of slots.
