Red Hot Catch Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Red Hot Catch slot game uses a 5-reel, 3-row, 20-payline machine. Create winning combinations by landing 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols or wilds from left to right in a payline, starting from reel 1. It’s a hugely popular format found in a host of popular online slots.
You can join our impish guide at stakes of between 10p and £50 per spin (£5 cap, or £2 cap for 18-24 year-olds if playing at UK online casinos). The standard Blueprint Gaming autoplay options are available here. You can set up to 100 spins. This feature isn’t on offer to UK players, though.
The Red Hot Catch RTP is 94%. That’s a little below average and a distance behind the top RTP slots in the UK. As you’d expect given the fiery setting, the volatility here is high. What’s not high is the Red Hot Catch max win of 3,000x. That’s low, especially when compared to many new slots.
My biggest win when playing the Red Hot Catch demo slot was 175x. I landed this during the free spins thanks to multiple active modifiers. If you like to play slots for free, we have thousands to choose from, including Red Hot Catch.
Red Hot Catch Theme—Join a Cheeky Devil in His Red-Hot Dungeon
A flaming underworld, filled with red-hot treasure, is the backdrop for the colourful Red Hot Catch. Watching over the action is an impish devil who can spring to life and deliver some fiery extras onto the reels.
The visuals here are light-hearted and cartoonish. We’re miles away from something with a similar theme from a developer like NoLimit City.
The reels include lower-value A to J royals alongside a goblet of blood, a book of spells, flaming dice and lucky red 7s, complete with horns and tail. The jaunty soundtrack complements the cheeky visuals nicely.
It might not have the flashy bells and whistles you’ll find in the very best online slots, but the Red Hot Catch slot is a typically accomplished effort from Blueprint Gaming.
Here’s what the paytable looks like:
| Symbols | Payouts/Info |
 J | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1 or 2.5x the stake |
 Q | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1 or 2.5x the stake |
 K | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1 or 2.5x the stake |
 A | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1 or 2.5x the stake |
 Goblet | 3, 4 or 5 = 1, 1.5 or 5x the stake |
 Book of Spells | 3, 4 or 5 = 1, 1.5 or 10x the stake |
 Dice | 3, 4 or 5 = 1.5, 2 or 15x the stake |
 Lucky 7s | 3, 4 or 5 = 2, 2.5 or 25x the stake |
Wild | Substitutes for symbols above on reels 2, 3 and 4 |
Bonus | Landing Bonus Scatter symbol triggers 10 Red Hot Spins |
Red Hot Catch Mobile Slot
The Red Hot Catch mobile slot is fully optimised for play at mobile casinos. I found no drop in performance when playing the game on my tablet or smartphone. Everything was nice and smooth. I found landscape mode delivers the best playing experience at the mobile Red Hot Catch casinos.
Red Hot Catch Bonus Features
This trip to the underworld comes with a decent collection of extras. Highlights include cash collect prizes, the Devil’s Reel and free spins with modifiers.
Collect Prizes
The smiling devil’s face is the collect symbol. When he lands on reels 1 or 5, the Collect Feature triggers. The devil collects the values of any cash prize symbols on the reels during that spin.
Devil’s Reel Feature
The symbol containing three mini devil faces is a special cash prize symbol. If this appears alongside a collect on reels 1 or 5, the Devil’s Reel Feature triggers.
A new set of mini reels spins. These can contain 1, 2 or 3 devils or a pip. If you land devils, you win a prize, and the reels spin again. These re-spins continue until you land a pip.
Reach the top prize on the meter in the base game, and you’ll trigger the Free Spins round with all 5 modifiers active. Manage this if triggered in the Bonus Round, and you’ll win a cash prize.
Hell Fire Modifiers
Any coin that lands can randomly trigger the devil to launch one of the following modifiers:
- Bonus Boost: Extra Bonus symbols are added.
- Lucky Devil: Extra Collect and Cash Prize symbols are added.
- Wild Devil: Extra wilds are added to the middle 3 reels.
- Burn Em’ Up: A losing spin is transformed into a winner.
Progressive Bank
Different coloured bonus symbols are collected by their associated bank above the reels. Collect bonuses to unlock the modifiers, which activate when you trigger the free spins.
Red Hot Free Spins
Land 3 or more bonus scatters on the same spin to trigger the Free Spins. You can occasionally also activate the round with 2 or sometimes just a single scatter. You’ll receive 10 Red Hot Spins with unlocked modifiers from Progressive Bank active. At least one modifier is live, sometimes more.
- Devil Fish: A new Cash Prize symbol is added. This accumulates all the Cash Prizes before being accumulated itself by the Collect.
- Cash Inferno: Only Cash Prize, Bonus, Collect symbols, and blanks are active.
- Super Collect: If you trigger the Collect Feature, the prizes are boosted by a multiplier worth up to 10x.
- Cash Boost: Trigger the Collect Feature, and all the values attached to the Cash Prizes increase by up to 5x.
- Devil’s Re-spin: The reels re-spin with additional Cash Prize, Collect and Bonus Scatter symbols. Re-spins continue until there’s one where only blanks land. A final payout consideration is then made.
Express Bet (Not Available to Players in the UK)
Increase your base stake by 0.2x per spin (eg from £1 to £1.20 per spin) to boost your chances of triggering the Bonus.
Red Hot Catch Verdict: This Little Devil Delivers Plenty of Variety
The cartoonish design and varied gameplay impress, but the low RTP and max win of just 3,000x are disappointing.
If you like slots that come with plenty of extras, you’ll find much to enjoy in Red Hot Catch. The Cash Collect extras, Devil’s Reel Spins and Free Spins with modifiers deliver ample variety. I never had to wait long to trigger a feature, either.
I liked the design here. Yes, the graphics are simple, but combined with the upbeat soundtrack, it creates a terrific atmosphere.
The negatives are the below-average RTP of 94% and the maximum win of 3,000x, which is much lower than what’s on offer from most new slots.
The devil might have the best tunes, but he hasn’t quite yet got the best slots.
