One thing that has given The Goonies titles their reputation is their feature fest. Just name it; from multipliers to cash prizes, collect symbols, bonus spins, and expanding wilds, they sweep all bases. However, it can be a lot to take in, particularly for newbies or retro players.
The Megaways mechanic is usually a one-off affair for most slot franchises, but Blueprint Gaming has gone for a second shot at it. Following a “If it’s not broken, don’t change it” approach, the game feels largely like a reskin.
The main twist is that Cashpot jackpots from the original Megaways make way for 3 Treasure Chests with promising modifiers. In my opinion, it’s a trade-off. Besides, you can only wonder why the potential win hasn’t gone beyond 10,000x the bet—or why cascading reels are still absent.
