Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ plays out on a 6×4 grid with 40 paylines. To score a winning combination, land 3 or more matching symbols on a payline from left to right.
Bet levels at Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ casinos aren’t the most accommodating, ranging between 40p and £50 per spin. As with most new slot games, there’s an autoplay mode for players outside the UK.
The Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ RTP is 94%, below average. It’s a letdown; if RTP is a key factor for you, it’s worth exploring our lineup of the highest RTP slots. In the meantime, the game has medium volatility, but it felt higher during my playtest. I endured barren spells, and big wins were few and far between.
Regarding potential payouts, the Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ max win is 26,662x the bet. It’s huge and makes the colourful underwater adventure worth a dive. The gameplay is slightly complex, so I’d suggest getting some spins on the Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ demo before plunging with real money.
I was lucky enough to land multiple Megapearls and boost the Multmax multipliers during the Bonus Respins, resulting in my biggest win of 122.1x my stake. You’ll find the demo on this page and in our free online slots library.
Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ Theme—A Pleasant Underwater View
If you’ve been around the block for a while, launching the Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ slot would likely bring flashes of Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza to mind. But this release feels more like an aquarium experience rather than angling in a full-blown ocean.
The colourful reefs are the stars of the ecosystem, with swimming freshwater fish and rising bubbles also keeping the scene lively. I like that the gold-carved grid doesn’t occupy much space, leaving most of the vibrant background visible.
An ambient tune plays in the background, transforming into water-sloshing effects and playful dings on wins. It works well for the soothing scenery, and overall, ReelPlay has done a great job with the audiovisuals.

Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ Mobile Slot
The underwater experience in Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ converts well to mobile. The graphics remain vibrant on smaller screens, and the soothing soundtrack remains. As I spun the reels, I didn’t experience stutters, and the controls are responsive.
As with modern online slot games, it supports landscape and portrait modes on mobile casinos, but I enjoyed the former slightly more. The view is broader, making enough room for the colourful reefs in the background.
Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ Bonus Features
As you must have clocked from the title, the game uses both the Gigablox™ and Multimax™ mechanics. There’s also a Respins Bonus round and Buy Bonus option.
Gigablox™
Yggdrasil Gaming’s Gigablox symbols come into play in the game. They are oversized versions of standard symbols, available in 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 sizes. Each spin will include at least 1 Gigablox, and when they participate in a win, they count as single symbols.
Explosions
It’s simply a Tumble or Avalanche feature we see in most Megaways slots. After every win, the winning symbols explode from the reels and new ones from above fall into vacant positions. The cascading process continues until you hit a losing spin.
Similarly, if a Gigablox symbol takes part in a win, the whole colossal symbol is removed from the reels. In a case where an explosion creates a vacant position beneath a Gigablox symbol, the big symbol splits into individual 1×1 symbols.
Multimax™
At the top of each reel, you will find a Multimax multiplier, which is set to 1x at the start of each new spin. Whenever a Turtle wild lands, it increases its reel’s multiplier by 1. If the turtle appears as a colossal symbol, the boost applies to the leftmost reel.
After every explosion, a turtle spawns in a random position on the reels. Then the product of the multipliers on the winning reels is applied to the potential payout. In general, multipliers add real value only when boosted by Turtles.
Bonus Respins
Landing 6 or more Pearl scatters during the base game triggers the Bonus Respins. You’re awarded 3 respins at the start, and the round uses the familiar Hold and Win mechanic. Only Pearls and Turtles can appear.
Here, Pearls carry random cash values, ranging between 1 and 1,000x the bet. Whenever a new Pearl lands, it’s locked in position, and the spin counter resets to 3. Similarly, Turtles in view reset the counter, but they don’t stick to the reels. Instead, they boost the Multimax multiplier by 1.
When Pearls appear in a cluster of 2×2 or more, they combine into a Megapearl. The Megapearl replaces the combining symbols, and its cash value is twice the sum of the original symbols’ values.
Even more, Megapearls of 2×2 and 3×3 can combine with single pearls to form larger Megapearls. The round ends when you use up the awarded spins or fill up the grid with Pearls/Megapearls.
At the end of the round, the Multimax multiplier on each reel applies to the Pearl cash values on that reel, after which the total then multiplies your stake.
Buy Bonus (Unavailable in the UK)
Skip the hassle and move directly into the Bonus Respins round by activating the Buy Bonus option. It costs 80x your stake.
Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ Verdict: Vibrant Underwater with Potential for Big Wins
Pearl Reef Gigablox™ Multimax™ is a rather choppy underwater experience. That’s not to say it isn’t worth playing, but you’ll need much patience and a healthy bankroll to have a whale of a time. Although the volatility is advertised as medium, it didn’t feel that way.
Visually, it’s stunning. ReelPlay’s earlier underwater titles like Mermaid Reef and Giga Bass Gigablox now feel like a long time ago, as we get a more vibrant and soothing take on the familiar theme. The appealing design mitigates the frustration of extended dry spells.
The game also shines on the technical side. It blends the Multimax™ and Gigablox™ mechanics with cascading wins and a Hold and Win round to deliver a top reward of 26,662x the bet. That said, the gameplay may feel a bit overwhelming, particularly for newbies.
