I’m torn with the layout and paylines for the Invictus™ slot. There’s a 5×4 grid, which I like as it opens up the reels. However, there are only 14 paylines, which is well below what other online slots offer. It’s frustrating, particularly with how many winning lines other games offer. Bonus Buy (Unavailable in the UK)
You can purchase 2 spin modifiers in Invictus™. The first costs 3x your stake and makes the bonus round 5x as likely. The second costs 50x your stake and guarantees a win with high-value symbols. You can trigger the Temple of Jupiter and Immortal Gains Free Spins for 100 and 200x your stake, respectively.
Invictus™ Verdict: A Solid Game that Needs More Paylines
Invictus™ has quite a lot of promise. The features are interesting and help to keep the game ticking over; the multipliers and respins really help with this. It ensures the base game provides plenty of exciting moments, even when wins are hard to come by.
I just wish there were more paylines available—14 feels extremely low. It’s a missed opportunity by Hacksaw Gaming, as it really extends the volatility and makes the learning curve much steeper. If the slot had more paylines, it would be much higher on my list.
