Golden Squares

Whenever you land a winning cluster in Le King™, the spaces behind those symbols turn into Golden Squares. If a Neon Rainbow symbol appears anywhere on the grid, it activates those Golden Squares once all wins are cleared.

Activated Golden Squares can reveal Coins (Bronze, Silver, or Gold), Treasure Pots, Clover symbols (Green or Gold), or Jackpot Markers. 

Here is what the Coins offer:

• Bronze = 0.2x to 4x 
• Silver = 5x to 20x
• Gold’s = 25x to 500x

Once all Golden Squares finish revealing their contents, Clovers activate:

• Green Clovers boost all adjacent Coins or Treasure Pots with multipliers ranging from 2x to 20x
• Gold Clovers multiply every Coin or Treasure Pot on the grid, also with values running between 2x and 20x 

After the Clovers finish boosting values, the Treasure Pots get to work and start collecting and storing the values of every Coin and Pot on the grid. They work from top to bottom and left to right, skipping Jackpot Markers. When the last Pot activates, any unused Golden Squares activate again to reveal new symbols, and the whole chain continues.

Finally, once everything’s revealed, all Coins and Treasure Pots are added up and multiplied by your bet to calculate your final payout.

Jackpot Markers

Jackpot Markers can appear either directly on the grid or inside Golden Squares. However, they only activate if there’s a Neon Rainbow symbol on the screen. There are four types:

• Mini (10x)
• Major (100x)
• Mega (1,000x)
• Max Win (20,000x) 

Only one of each can land per spin, and the values are awarded after all Coins and Treasure Pots have been collected.

Note: If more than one Marker is triggered, their totals are combined.

Spin City Bonus Game

The Spin City bonus round triggers when you land 3 scatters in the base game, awarding 10 free spins. It sticks to the same mechanics as the base game. However, any Golden Squares you create stay locked on the grid and only activate when a Neon Rainbow appears.

Le King™ successfully captures the glitz of Vegas into a cluster slot with a 20,000x ceiling, three bonus games, and a flashy jackpot setup. But don’t be surprised if it takes a bit to heat up.

Pros

I loved spinning on such a busy grid packed with chain reactions. And that’s not to mention the smooth transitions and the way the neon colours light up every inch of the screen. Should it have shaken the original formula any more than it did, it would’ve started drifting away from what gives the “Le” slots their charm. Plus, to be fair, with the jackpots in play, I think Hacksaw’s handled the balance pretty well. 

The core of the slot still runs on progressive mechanics and modifiers, with a hidden bonus that boosts coin values and guarantees Neon Rainbows. It’s not one to rush, though, because you’ll have to work your way up to the big wins bit by bit.
