Respin feature
The Respin feature is randomly triggered on any base game spin. Either 2, 3 or 4 walking wilds are added to the reels which move 1 step left or right on each respin. They will all move in the same direction throughout the feature though.
If a walking wild symbols lands on top of a standard wild, a 1x multiplier is added for the remainder of the feature. The feature continues until no more walking wilds are on the reels.
Into the Storm Bonus feature
The Into the Storm Bonus feature is triggered when 3 or more Kraken Bonus scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. Played on a 9×5 grid, 3, 4 or 5 scatters will give you 1, 2 or 3 Kraken Hot Zones respectively.
The grid then spins to reveal either a multiplier, blank space or 1 of 4 modifiers. The multipliers can be 1x, 2x or 3x. Modifiers include the Hammer, Treasure Chest, Viking Coin and Kraken Hot Zone. Multipliers and/or modifiers landing on the grid or within a Kraken Hot Zone are locked in place for the duration of the feature.
Beginning with 3 lives, the lives count reduces by 1 if no new multiplier or modifiers lands. If they do land, the lives count resets to 3, except the Viking Coin modifiers which increases the lives to 4. All multipliers values are accumulated, added together and applies to your total win. The feature ends when you run out of lives or you fill the grid completely. If you fill the grid entirely, you’ll win 10,000 x your total bet.
Look out for Kraken symbols as it reveals a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. This multiplier is then applied to all adjacent spaces around the Kraken symbol. If 2 Hot Zones overlap, the multipliers in each are multiplied together. If a multiplier lands in the Hot Zone, they are multiplied together with the multiplier turning gold. A maximum of 3 Kraken symbols can land during the feature.
Now onto the modifiers. Up to 3 of each can land during the feature (only 1 for the Viking Coin). Here’s what to expect:

Into the Storm Review Summary – watered-down version of Money Train 2
The Into the Storm slot is decently designed and will remind you of games produced by NextGen Gaming (which is part of the SG family). Rise of the Mountain King and Pillars of Asgard spring to mind.
In terms of the gameplay, the walking wilds with the potential multipliers are decent. However, it’s all about the respins feature (Into the Storm Bonus feature) which has many similarities to other respins slots. It’s like a watered-down version of Relax Gaming’s Money Train 2.
With 4 modifiers, I found the Kraken symbols to ones to look for as these add multipliers up to 5x to surrounding symbols. When Hot Zones overlap, the multipliers multiply each other which can lead to huge multipliers being applied. The Treasure Chest and Hammer modifiers can also be very lucrative if the existing multipliers are big already.
Whilst Money Train 2 is the standard when it comes to a respins feature, Into the Storm just falls short as there are less modifiers on offer. Nolimit City’s Fire in the Hole has more modifiers too. The max win of 10,500 x bet is decent enough but a lot less than the previous mentioned games (50,000 x and 60,000 x stake respectively).
