Crowning Glory Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
A standard online slots layout is used in the Crowning Glory slot, featuring a 5×3 grid. It sits below the average for paylines, with 25 ways to win, which means it’s well behind Megaways slots when symbols land. You need to get 3 matching symbols in a row to win.
You can bet between 20p and £20 per spin in the Crowning Glory slot game. It’s not bad for lower budget players, but it won’t appeal to high rollers. Like most new slots, an autoplay function is available, but you can’t use it at UK online casinos. The controls are on the right of the screen, but while putting together my Crowning Glory review, I noticed you can switch them to the other side.
The Crowning Glory RTP is 96.41%, which is slightly above average. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite hit what the best RTP slots offer, but it’s still a decent level. There aren’t any RTP ranges, which is a positive, and removes the need to check the best UK online casinos for the best RTP. It has a medium volatility, which felt about right while I was playing the Crowning Glory demo.
I found a Crowning Glory max win of 500x the stake, which is way too low in the modern market. It’s a disappointing win potential, which could put off players. I managed to hit 36x my stake while I was playing, which isn’t the best win. You can try to beat my best win in the free slots game that’s at the top of this page.
Crowning Glory Theme—Extremely Old Fashioned
I don’t think NextGen put enough effort into the Crowning Glory theme. At every step, it looks dated, and not in an intentional retro way. All of the symbols have a decent enough design, but they don’t stand out. The reels look like they came from 1995, and the spinning animations are choppy. I’m really not sold on the visuals of this game at all.
Unfortunately, the sounds at Crowning Glory casinos aren’t any better. The slot has no music until you spin the reels, meaning there’s a lot of silence, and the tune that plays when you do spin is very generic. The sounds as the reels spin are understated and mainly just give a little click as they land. It’s overall a poorly executed theme.

Crowning Glory Mobile Slot
I was disappointed with the Crowning Glory mobile slot. It was originally designed with Flash in mind, so it retains a lot of the design choices for that development environment. It means it can slow down at times, and it’s not as responsive as a purely HTML5 game. The graphics don’t lose any quality, which is a plus.
It works much better in landscape mode, and that’s the best way to play this on a mobile casino. However, I’d recommend playing on a desktop as the mobile version is a visible downgrade.
Crowning Glory Bonus Features
The Crowning Glory bonus features are okay, but they’re not as expansive or innovative as more modern games.
Giant Symbols
On any spin, giant symbols of up to 3×3 can land on the reels. If they appear, they can help to cover more paylines and create bigger wins.
Royal Reels
Randomly, on any base game spin, the Royal Reels can trigger. It displays a wheel that has all of the game symbols on it. If it lands a basic symbol, it will fill a payline with that symbol. Landing the scatter symbol on the wheel awards 12 Free Spins.
Free Spins
Apart from the Royal Reels wheel, you can also trigger the Free Spins with the scatter symbol. You need to land a scatter on each of the odd-numbered reels, and you get 12 spins to start. Every scatter over the 3 required ones awards an extra spin to your total. You can retrigger the round during the feature.
Crowning Glory Verdict: Too Dated, and Small Payouts
Crowning Glory isn’t a slot anywhere near the top of my list. The features feel laboured, the graphics are average, and the maximum win is way too small. It doesn’t have anything that truly stands out, and calling it a below-average game is being kind.
It’s disappointing as NextGen is a solid developer that has put out some excellent games. If you really enjoy 5×3 slots and the royal theme, then this might be a game worth trying.
