Burn ’em Up™ Gold Verdict: A Solid Retro Slot, Missing a Magic Touch
I got a distinct feeling that there was something missing while I was playing Burn ‘em Up™ Gold. The main issue for me is the limited number of paylines. Only 10 just makes it feel slightly empty, and emphasises the high volatility. Even just increasing it to 20 lines would make the base game more interesting. It’s a shame it has this issue, as I really enjoyed the Free Spins round. I would have liked the sounds to be a bit more prominent, as it can feel quiet at times.
That’s not to say this is a bad slot. The bonus rounds are enjoyable, and the Premium Play idea is a good attempt at something different. It’s just missing that special something to make it an elite slot. It’s still worth trying out, and the 10,000x your stake is a decent win. It’s unlikely to take you away from your favourites, though.
