Like the other slots in the Foxium catalogue, the design in Adelia The Fortune Wielder is impressively done. The reels are set against the ruins of an old monastery. There you’ll find A to 10 royal symbols as well as bottles of potion, daggers, pouches and a book of spells. The best symbol is the staff which pays 5, 12.5 or 25 times your total stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline.

The W is the standard wild. This replaces everything bar the scatter and appears on reels 2, 4 and 5 in the base game. It’s joined by the multiplier wild which can appear on reel 3 only. Any winning combination that includes a multiplier wild is boosted by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. There are 2 features on offer in Adelia The Fortune Wilder.

Adelia’s Fortune Respin feature – this is triggered by landing a full stack of multiplier wilds on reel 3. That stack is held in position and the reels spin again. The respins keep on coming until there’s a spin where no winning combination is created.

Free Spins feature – Adelia is the scatter. She spins in a stacked formation on reels 2 and 4 only. Land 4, 5 or 6 scatters on the same spin and you’ll be awarded 10, 20 or 30 free spins. After you’ve collected 3 coins, you’ll fill the blue chest. This upgrades the payouts for the Q, J and 10 symbols by between 2x and 5x. The process is then repeated. Adelia The Fortune Wielder looks excellent and there’s a suitably sweeping feel to the soundtrack which gives the game an epic feel. We found the features quite tricky to trigger. They can deliver some decent action when you do hit them though. Medium to high variance, you can win 2,500 times your stake on every free spin with the upgrades and multipliers.
