On the reels, you’ll come across rope, knives, knuckle-dusters, guns and shotguns. The higher value symbols include members of the mob family such as an associate, a soldier, the consigliere, the underboss and the Godfather. Highest paying is the Godfather symbol which awards 1, 1.5 or 3 x your total bet for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.

With no traditional wild symbol, Wilds are created when bullets hit a character symbol in the Lock ‘N’ Load feature. There is a Car Boot Scatter which triggers the Whacked Spins feature. Whacked Bonus Features

The Whacked slot has 5 bonus features. Wins lead to tumbles for successive wins as well as the bullets being loaded into the cylinder under the reels. Once full, the Lock ‘N’ Load feature comes into play which fires bullets at character symbols and transforms them into Wilds. xWays symbols increase the number of ways to win up to 7,776. Tumble feature

When a winning combination lands on the reels, the Tumble feature will be activated. Winning symbols are removed which allows new symbols to fall in. Once winning symbols are destroyed and removed from the reels, all remaining symbols tumble downwards. This sees new symbols fall into the newly empty positions. If you land winning combinations on xWays symbols, extra symbols of the same size will fall in.

Lock ‘N’ Load feature

When a winning combination is formed and the Tumble feature triggers, you will see a group of bullets loaded into the cylinder below the reels. The Lock ‘N’ Load feature will activate once the cylinder is fully loaded with 6 bullets and no more winning combinations form.

Then the bullets are fired randomly at the high paying character symbol on the reels. When hit, the character symbol will be replaced by an overlay Wild. If there are 5 or less high paying symbols on the reels, the unused bullets are saved in the cylinder for later spins.

xWays feature

Look out for xWays symbols which expand to 2 or 4 symbols (thus creating half symbols). Paying the same as normal sized symbols, half sized symbols remain on the reels until there are no more wins or tumbles/avalanches. Known as the xWays feature, xWays symbols basically increase the number of ways to win. This can lead to 7,776 ways to win in total.

Whacked Spins feature

The Whacked Spins feature is triggered when 3 Car Boot Scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels. You’ll then begin with a collected value of 1x your bet for each reel as well as 3 free spins. Any winning combination will reset the number of free spins to 3.

Further, Coin, xWays and xNudge symbols also reset the free spins count to 3 when they land. Coin symbols have a bet multiplier up to 20 x bet and are added to the counter at the bottom of each reel. These are then totalled for a total win after the feature ends.

With gangsters and the world of crime being glamorised in modern culture with plenty of films and TV series, it’s no surprise Nolimit City have created the Whacked slot. Inspired by movies such as The Godfather and others, graphically it’s superb. The Godfather looks rather like Vito Corleone (The Godfather) and the Underboss looks like Paulie Gualtieri from The Sopranos series.

Fast-paced, Whacked is a simple release from Nolimit City. Wins lead to tumbles and bullets loaded into the cylinder below the reels. When you fill the cylinder, the Lock ‘N’ Load feature comes into play. This sees bullets fired at character symbols which then transforms them into Wilds. xWays symbols increase the number of ways to win up to 7,776.

Then you have the Whacked Spins feature which is more of a respins game where Coins and other special symbols land (via the xRevolver) which reveal more Coins and multipliers that can increase the values of the collected coins. I found the Russian Roulette modifier the most lucrative due to winnings being multiplied with each other.

Offering 11,912 x bet max wins, the Whacked slot is on the lower side of things in terms of win potential compared to most other Nolimit City games. Whilst the theme and imagery is great as always, this isn’t as appealing as other NLC slots. As Marcus Higgins states in the Grown Ups 2 movie, “they’re not all tens, buddy”.
