There are three 3-row high Bounty Hunter Wilds that appear on the 3 middle reels (reels 2, 3 and/or 4). When they land, they will always nudge to become fully visible (i.e. to award a wild reel). For every nudge, the multiplier increases by 1. Several Bounty Hunter Wild multipliers add to each other to give you an overall Bounty Hunter Wild multiplier value.

Few Dollars More feature

The Few Dollars More feature is triggered by landing a fully stacked Bounty Hunter Wild symbol on reels 2, 3 or 4. All fully stacked Bounty Hunter Wilds will remain sticky for a respin. Mexican Standoff feature

The Bounty Hunters slot comes with a Mexican Standoff feature. It’s triggered by landing the Golden Pistol Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5 on the same row during a base game spin. A respin is awarded for the triggering row with other rows deactivated.

Each Golden Pistol Bonus symbol acts as a sticky wild and awards a 6x multiplier. If Bounty Hunter Wilds land, they will also act as a sticky wild and come with a 6x multiplier. Raid Spins feature

The Raid Spins feature is activated by landing Gold Sack Scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. Played on a 4×5 area, thugs and bosses can land. You’ll also see 5-high reels on either side as well as a 4-reel row at the bottom which all have a Bounty Hunter character present. You’ll begin with 3 free spins which resets to 3 every time a thug or boss lands in the main 4×5 area.

Thugs come with bet multiplier values of between 1 and 25 x bet. If a Bounty Hunter is present in front of any thug, the thug’s coin value is collected and the thug appears dead. If not, it carries forward for the next free spin.

Bounty Hunters have multipliers that cannot exceed 12x. Bounty Hunters collect coin values from thugs and bosses basically. The collected coin value is multiplied by the Bounty Hunter’s multiplier value and then added to the overall win multiplier.

Now, the left, right and bottom Bounty Hunters collect values from the thug/boss that is closest horizontally/vertically to them. Multiplier values on Bounty Hunters increase by 1 for the next free spin once they collect. If the left and/or right Bounty Hunter does not collect during a free spin, their multiplier values are reset to 1x. This means the multiplier for the bottom Bounty Hunter is never reset.

The Bosses come with bet multiplier prizes between 1 and 5 x bet. Bosses upgrade in the order they land (per row, reel). With 3 types of Bosses, here’s what each of them does:

Showdown Spins feature

The Showdown Spins feature is triggered when you land the Golden Gun Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5 as well as the Gold Sack Scatter on the 3 middle reels. It can also be played from the Raid Spins feature (see above).

Played on a 5×5 reel area, it’s similar to the Raid Spins feature. However, the Fred ‘Big Honcho’ Hard Boss symbol appears in the centre position. You’ll also see a 5-row high reel on the left and right with a 5-reel row at the bottom (all with a Bounty Hunter present).

Beginning with 12 Thugs surrounding Fred ‘Big Honcho’ Hard Boss in a diamond formation, 8 of the Thugs directly surround him and the remaining 4 on the outer positions. 3 free spins are awarded which resets every time a Thug lands in the main reel area.

Importantly, the Fred ‘Big Honcho’ Hard Boss begins with a 6 x bet value and behaves like any of the 3 bosses outlined in the Raid Spins feature. If he acts as Boss 1, his value will increase. Acting like Boss 2 will see a 6 x bet value added to all Thugs values. Finally, acting like Boss 3 will see multipliers being applied to the Thugs.

Lastly, Fred ‘Big Honcho’ Hard Boss can be collected. When this happens, all empty positions of the Thug diamond formation will be filled with new Thugs for the next free spin.

xBet feature

Like with many other Nolimit City slots, Bounty Hunters comes with an xBet feature. Costing an extra 200% your bet (i.e. 3 times your initial bet), your chances of triggering the various bonus features increase significantly.

Bounty Hunters Review Summary: go all in with thugs, bosses + hunters

Following on from other Wild West-themed games, The Bounty Hunters slot looks a lot like the original Deadwood slot visually. The soundtrack really stands out and is a superb mixture of heavy rock music a Western twang. It really gets going in the 2 free spins features which makes you want to join the thugs, bosses and hunters. I love how the characters swear and shout as you spin away.

In terms of the gameplay, the Mexican Standoff feature sees you awarded respins with sticky wilds and 6x multipliers. If you get multiple sticky wild multipliers, decent wins can be had. However, the 2 free spins features provide the biggest win potential.

The Raid Spins feature feels a little like Relax Gaming’s Money Train 3 in my opinion and takes elements from other Nolimit City slots. Thugs are worth up to 25 x bet and Bosses are worth up to 5 x bet. Their values are collected when present on the same row as a Bounty Hunter which also come with multipliers up to 12x.

However, the key to big will come from the 3 Bosses. They add values from Thugs/Bosses to their own value, add its value to all Thugs and can apply multipliers up to 4x. Killing all 3 Bosses will activate the Showdown Spins feature which is extremely hard to trigger from the base game.

Here, you play on a larger reel area with 12 Thugs surrounding the Big Honcho. He’s worth 6 x bet and acts like any of the 3 Bosses to enhance winning potential. If the hunters manage to collect him, all empty positions in the Thug diamond will be replaced with new Thugs for even more wins.

With 52,310 x bet max wins available, it will occur every 90,000 spins in the Raid Spins feature and once every 8,500 spins in the Showdown Spins feature. The hard part is triggering the latter.

Whilst the base game action might take a little while to get going, the Raid and Showdown Spins features really provide a thrilling and gripping experience if you’re luck is in.

In summary, the Bounty Hunters slot delivers exactly what Nolimit City are known for: superb Wild West slots with excellent graphics, music, bonus features and win potential. Whilst not as brutal as Tombstone RIP (no other slot game is), it’s definitely worthy of its place in the Wild West genre.
