Wheel of Fortune Ultra 5 Reels is powered by IGT and has 5 reels and 30 paylines. Playable from 50p to £500 per spin, it can be played on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The game is based on the iconic TV gameshow and isn’t the first Wheel of Fortune themed slot that IGT has released.
Despite having 5 reels, they look very realistic as they are in 3D format – looks wise, Wheel of Fortune Ultra 5 Reels delivers. Symbols on the reels include berries, pears, oranges and cherries (all with glitter all over them). There are also 5 7s with the red 7 rewarding you with 400 times your line stake if you get 5 on a payline.
There’s a Wild Multiplier feature which is triggered when the wild symbol forms part of a winning combination. The wild then transforms into either a 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x multiplier wild symbol. You can get more than 1 wild meaning that multiplier values can be combined up to 25x!
Then you have the Scatter Wheels feature which is played when 3 or more Scatter Wheels symbols land anywhere on the reels. Each symbol than transforms into a wheel and spin automatically. Each wheel will then stop on a cash prize which are then all combined.
Finally, you have the Ultra Wheel Bonus feature which is triggered when you get 3 Ultra Wheel symbols anywhere reels 2, 3 and 4. You then spin the bonus reels to determine the active wheels in the feature. Each reel basically determines if 1 wheel is inactive, active or holds a multiplier value.
Wheel 3 gives you wheel values of between 2 and 10 times your stake whilst Wheel 2 gives you wheel values of between 3 and 50 times your stake. Wheel 1 gives you between 6 and 200 times your stake! If you get multipliers on the wheels, their values will be 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 10x. This means that up to 2,000 times your bet can be won!
Unfortunately, Wheel of Fortune Ultra 5 Reels has no free spins feature but the features described above more than compensate. Even though the Ultra Wheel Bonus feature is the main attraction, I’ve had my biggest wins from the Wild Multiplier feature in the base game as I’ve got a 25x multiplier on a couple of occasions. I found the variance to be somewhere in the middle which is good. If you want free spins, IGT’s Shamrockers Eire to Rock is a great choice and is also higher variance.
