Theme – conquer the pyramids
The medieval theme has been done well here and it matches the original Templar Tumble slot that was released back in March of 2021. Set in the Middle Ages, it’s difficult to understand where the reels are set (it looks like it could be the side of a church.), but the stonework looks great and I like the stone carvings on either side of the reels.
The soundtrack is quite calming and mellow. Part of it sounds like a Christmas song is about to start with the chiming likened to something more festive. You need to keep spinning the reels though, otherwise, the audio will go silent. The addition of the harp and the operatic voice is a nice touch. The audio may not fully match the theme, but I still like it.
On the reels, the different coloured gems make up the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by mid-range symbols of the tree of life, a bird and a lion. The higher-paying ones are a ring and a knight’s mask. The mask is the most lucrative symbol, paying 0.6, 1, 1.6 or 2 x your total stake for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination respectively.

Volatility here is understandably higher due to the Dream Drop element and so too is the RTP at 94%. Personally, I would say only play this if you’re interested in the jackpots. If not, switch to the original game with a higher RTP rate and less volatility.
The visuals are good and the soundtrack didn’t have me reaching for the mute button, which is always refreshing to see. With a hit rate of 20%, don’t expect a constant flow of winners. Furthermore, when testing this slot thoroughly, it’s worth noting that I landed the jackpot spin numerous times, but it took me quite a while to trigger the Free Spins feature.
