The Ted Cash Lock slot has a traditional slot setup, with 5 reels, 4 rows and 20 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed by landing 3 or more matching symbols on any payline, from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Blueprint Gaming haven’t reinvented the wheel here, just classic straightforward fun.

Theme – the louche bear is back at it
As you would expect, the Ted Cash Lock slot is based on the Ted film by Seth MacFarlane. It might seem strange to create a slot around a film from 2012 (or even the sequel Ted 2), but as Blueprint Gaming had so much success with their original Ted slot, we understand why they think players might want to hang out with the lewd bear.
The reels hang against Ted’s beer-strewn sofa, and the jazzy soundtrack is fitting with the comedy theme. Lower value symbols are represented by Jack to Ace royals, whilst higher value symbols include a six pack of Ted Light beer, Ted’s goose nemesis, and Ted’s girlfriend Tami-Lynn.
The highest paying standard symbols is the Ted logo, which awards 1.5, 10, or 20 x your total stake if you see 3, 4 or 5 of them land on a payline.

Ted Modifiers feature
At any point in the base game, Ted may appear and add extra scatter symbols to the reels. These can be either the Bonus symbols or the Psychedelic Ted symbols. These added symbols give you an increased chance of triggering a free spins round.
After a non-winning spin, Ted may also rearrange the symbols to form a winning combination. Both of these modifiers happen at random, but we’re happy to report they do occur quite often.
Free Spins feature
Landing six or more Psychedelic Ted scatter symbols in the base game triggers the free spins round. You’ll receive 1 spin per scatter symbol, so initially there’s a minimum of 6 free spins up for grabs.
Before the free spins round begins, all positions which held a scatter will have a bronze border drawn around them. Any positions where scatters land during the round will also carry a bronze border. If a scatters falls in a position with a bronze border, the border will be upgraded to a silver border. Any silver borders will be upgraded to gold borders.
Once the free spins round ends, any positions with borders will change into special Ted symbols. Ted will then appear and reveal cash values for every special Ted symbol in view. The more precious the border metal, the bigger the prize.
Thunder Buddies Bonus features
Landing 3 or more Thunder Buddies Bonus scatters in the base game awards you with a spin of the ‘Ted Bonus Wheel’. There are three prizes up for grabs. Each includes 6 free spins and one special feature.

Ted Cash Lock Review Summary – an underwhelming sequel
Overall, the Ted Cash Lock slot is enjoyable and full of engaging bonus features. It’s sure to be a hit with fans of the Ted movies, but we’re not completely sold.
The problem is that it doesn’t seem to offer anything better than the original Ted slot, nor the Ted Megaways slot. The bonus features are very similar to what we’ve been offered before, and the graphics are almost identical. Pair that with an underwhelming RTP rate of 93.09% and a medium-high variance, and there isn’t any reason to choose this slot over one of the other Ted games. For reference, the original Ted slot has an RTP of 95.8%, and Ted Megaways has an RTP of 96.03%.
Unless you’re a huge fan of the film, we’d give this slot a miss. Max wins of 50,000 x your stake sound impressive, but we’re pretty sure they’re few and far between.
