Sugar Spree Verdict: Fun, If Slightly Unoriginal
Sugar Spree has many aspects I look for in a slot. The cascading reels and cluster pays are always fun to play, and adding the collect symbol adds another layer. I’d prefer the theme take a different approach, as the candy theme is slightly played out at this point. It’s a minor issue, though, as the gameplay is enjoyable enough to overlook the theme.
The maximum win is set at a good level, but it raises an important question. It switches between 11,700x as standard in the base game, but when you use the bonus, it increases to 12,700x. I think this is a slightly unfair approach, particularly as UK players can’t access the bonus buy. The RTP is also a bit low for my liking and could use a boost above 96%. Despite these minor problems, Sugar Spree is still a solid slot, and I enjoyed spinning the reels.
