Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes slot has 10 fixed paylines and is played on a 5×3 reel setup. All symbols pay from left to right on selected paylines, starting from reel 1.
Stakes from 10p to £50 mean that high-stakes and low-stakes players can enjoy this one. Simply use the + and – buttons on either side of the spin button below the reels to change your total bet. Autoplay is also possible if you’re outside the UK.
The Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes RTP is 96.08%, which is slightly above average for an online slot. In terms of volatility, it’s as high as it can be with Pragmatic and rated as 5 out of 5 by the provider.
The maximum win is 5,300 x your stake. Although this is possible to achieve in the base game, your best chance will arguably come in the bonus feature.
Theme – watch out for the snakes
If you’ve played the famous Snakes & Ladders board game (who hasn’t?), you’ll be familiar with this slot straight away. Well, in the bonus feature at least as it plays out like the board game in many ways. The reels in the base game are set in from of a huge waterfall in a mountainous area. It’s got ladders on either side of the reels and the visuals are pleasing to the eye and not over the top.
The soundtrack gives off a Caribbean party vibe in my opinion, which is a little different from what you’re greeted with when the game loads. However, it works well and I have no complaints with the audio other than it’s very repetitive. Land the bonus feature and the soundtrack is more upbeat, although sounding very similar to the base game.
On the reels, you’ve got the usual A-10 Royals as the lower-paying symbols. The higher-paying ones include snake baskets, snakes, bananas and gorillas. The gorilla symbol is the most rewarding, paying 10, 25 or 50 x your stake for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
The game’s Wild is a dice. The numbers on the dice determine the multiplier that will apply to the total win of that spin if it’s part of a winning combination. Here’s a useful table showing the symbols you will come across in the game:
| Symbol | Payouts/Info |
|---|---|
10 | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1.5 or 5 x stake |
J | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1.5 or 5 x stake |
Q | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1.5 or 5 x stake |
K | 3, 4 or 5 = 1.5, 4 or 10 x stake |
A | 3, 4 or 5 = 1.5, 4 or 10 x stake |
Snake Basket | 3, 4 or 5 = 3, 7.5 or 15 x stake |
Snake | 3, 4 or 5 = 5, 10 or 20 x stake |
Banana | 3, 4 or 5 = 5, 10 or 20 x stake |
Gorilla | 3, 4 or 5 = 10, 25 or 50 x stake |
Wild | Substitutes for all symbols except Bonus Scatter |
Bonus Scatter | 3+ triggers Snakes & Ladders Board Bonus |
Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes Mobile
Produced using HTML5 technology, Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes can be played on mobiles, tablets, laptops and/or PC devices. The 5×3 reel setup is great for mobile play on iOS or Android. However, with the bonus feature expanding to a 12×12 grid, I prefer to play on a larger screen.
Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes Bonus Features
There’s 1 main bonus feature here but it comes with a number of modifiers that you can enjoy as you move around the board and land on certain positions. Let’s run you through everything available to you in this feature.
Snakes & Ladders Board Bonus feature
3 or more Bonus symbols will trigger the Snakes & Ladders Board Bonus. Here’s how many dice rolls you can get depending on the number of bonus symbols that land in the base game:
| Bonus Scatters | Dice Rolls |
| 3 | 12 |
| 4 | 14 |
| 5 | 16 |
If you land 4 or 5 Bonus symbols to trigger the feature, there is a chance that 1 of those symbols will transform into a Snake Bonus symbol. This will award 2 extra dice rolls for the subsequent round.
As the bonus round begins, you will be presented with a board of 144 squares on a 12×12 grid. Quick maths there would see that 12×12 = 144. You are represented by a monkey head. This is your board piece, and you will start on square 1.
Random items are placed in random positions. For each roll, 2 dice give random results from 1 to 6 on each. You simply move that number of spaces when the dice is rolled.
Your playing piece (the monkey head) can land on a square with 1 of the following:
- Money award – a random value from 4x to 100x will be added to the total win of the round.
- Multiplier – will multiply the total win collected so far by a certain value when the monkey head lands on it.
- Ladder – moves the playing piece up to the top of the ladder.
- Snake – moves the playing piece down from the snake’s head to its tail.
- Banana – will add random money values onto the board and remove all other bananas
- Final position – landing in the 144th position on the grid will award 1,000 x your total bet.
It’s also important to note here that any square can have a hidden shortcut, the rope charmer. This will move the monkey head to a random position higher up on the board.
There is also a chance that the bonus feature is retriggered if you manage to get to the 144th position on the grid. Roll the 2 dice and if you get a double, the feature will retrigger and start again from the beginning.
Each time a double is rolled, a section of a snake that you’ll see above the reels is filled. It has 4 sections and will retrigger the bonus feature if all 4 sections are filled before the current bonus round ends.
Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes Review Summary – very similar to the previous release
Although there’s only 1 main bonus feature in the Snakes & Ladders Snake Eyes slot game, don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s boring. Far from it. There’s so much going on in the bonus feature that it makes for some entertaining gameplay.
However, if you’ve played the previous game that this follows on from, you might be wondering why this game even exists as there’s hardly any difference at all. The visuals look better but that’s about it. There’s a rope charmer instead of a skyscraper, but it really does just feel like the previous release, which is a shame.
Overall, if you’re a fan of the classic board game, you’ll find plenty of enjoyment here even though it isn’t much different from the original release back in February 2022.
