The Scara-Bucks is one of the latest online slot games that is played on a 7-reel, 7-row, cluster pays game engine. Create winning combinations by landing clusters of 5 or more matching symbols or wilds. Symbols must be adjacent either vertically or horizontally to form a cluster; diagonals don’t count. In addition, land a winning cluster, and the successful symbols are removed, and new ones drop in and replace them. These cascades continue until there’s one where no new winner hits.
Stakes range from 20p to £70 per spin. If you’re playing at UK online casinos, the max bet is capped at £5 per spin. Yggdrasil Gaming’s usual autoplay and turbo modes are available if you’re playing in a territory where they are allowed. Consequently, this lets you set up to 1,000 autospins with adjustable win and loss stop limits. Autoplay and quick spin modes aren’t available in the United Kingdom.

It’s all about the modifiers when it comes to the Scara-Bucks bonus features. There are also wild extras and multipliers to spice up this ancient adventure.
Golden Lotus
Each time you land a winning cluster, the successful symbols are added to a meter. After every 25th symbol is added to the meter, it becomes charged, and one of the following random modifiers is awarded:
- Wild Blessing: Between 3 and 6 symbols turn wild. All symbols adjacent to these new wilds are destroyed, and a new cascade follows
- Wild Wrath: All the lower value symbols on the grid are destroyed, and a new cascade is made
- Wild Surge: A wild is added to the centre of the grid. Two diagonal lines point to the corners of the grid. The same matching symbol is added to the positions cut by the lines. A new payout consideration follows with the new symbols in place
- Wild Enchant: One low-value symbol is picked at random. All examples of this symbol elsewhere on the grid transform into the same symbol
- Pharaoh Rush: Triggered if you manage to collect 125 symbols in the same set of winning cascades and charge the meter for a fourth time. Once triggered, a 3×3 wild is added to the centre of the grid. On the next cascade, it transforms into a pair of 2×2 wilds, then into 9 individual wilds on the following cascade
Divine Blessing
The feature activates each time you land 4 matching symbols in a 2×2 square shape. They merge into a single colossal symbol, and a 2x multiplier is applied to the payout.
Wild Scarab
On each spin, all examples of one randomly chosen low-value symbol will be highlighted. If a highlighted symbol forms part of a winning cluster, a pair of wild symbols is awarded.
Scarab Shift
Scarab Shift can randomly trigger on any spin that doesn’t produce a winning cluster. Once triggered, between 4 and 8 wilds are added to the grid.
Scara-Bucks Verdict: An Egyptian Epic With Terrific Visuals but Familiar Features
If you like slots that deliver a treat for the senses, you won’t be disappointed with Scara-Bucks. The sound and visuals here are a delight.
The gameplay isn’t bad either. You’ll have seen a similar collection of extras in other slots, most notably Reactoonz. There might not be a traditional free spins bonus here, but the charged modifiers offer plenty of action.
On the other hand, the numbers don’t really get the pulse racing. The 96% RTP is average, and the 3,100x max win is rather disappointing, especially for a high volatility slot.
Despite that low jackpot, I enjoyed Scara-Bucks. It looks superb and comes with a good range of bonus features. So, if you like the Egyptian-themed slots, Scara-Bucks is certainly worth a closer look.
