The Power Vault slot by Push Gaming is a game with a classic look. Like most retro online slots, it uses a 3×3 grid with 5 paylines. There are only 9 paying symbols, and you must land 3 on a payline to create a win.
You can play with between 10p and £100 in the Power Vault slot game. It’s a solid variation for a free-to-play slot, allowing low-budget players and high rollers to test the game properly. I played with £1 in the Power Vault demo because it makes it easier to track my bankroll, which is my approach for all new slots.
All controls are on the right, with a large spin button taking the most space. Unless you’re playing at UK online casinos, you can set up an autoplay program and add turbo spins.
The standard Power Vault RTP is 96.41%, which is quite good on its own. Unfortunately, this game still doesn’t compete with the best RTP slots. If you like laid-back tunes, you might find yourself listening to this one even when not playing. The reel sound effects are a bit generic, but it’s to be expected in a retro slot. Overall, the design choices are above average, with the music being the best part.

Collector Feature
On any spin, money and jackpot symbols can land on the first or last reels. However, they don’t become active until the collector symbol lands. This symbol appears on the middle reel, and it collects the money and jackpot symbols to create a win.
It can award payouts above what the standard symbols are worth, so it’s an enticing opportunity. The following values are available for money and jackpot symbols:
- Money Symbols: Worth between 1x and 25x the stake.
- Jackpot Symbols: Appear as Mini, Minor, Mega, and Grand worth 15x, 50x, 100x, and 1,000x the stake, respectively.
Bonus Round
If you land a money or jackpot symbol on the first and last reels and a collector symbol simultaneously, this triggers the bonus round. During this feature, you get 3 free spins as a start. The collector is constantly in the middle position, and it collects any paying symbols that land.

Whenever money or jackpot symbols appear in the base game, the Power Vault at the top of the reels collects them. This can lead to the symbols bursting out randomly and triggering the bonus game on any spin. The Power Vault vanishes during the bonus game, as it’s impossible to trigger it from within the bonus round.
Power Vault Slot Verdict: An OK Retro Experience With a Respin Feature
Power Vault has quite a bit of potential. The approach to the bonus round is interesting, particularly as it offers respawning respins but doesn’t lock symbols in place. As a result, this provides the potential for more payouts than typical hold-and-win rounds.
Unfortunately, the game doesn’t really build on that feature. When you’re playing the base game, you find yourself waiting for the bonus. It diminishes the excitement, as I only really found the bonus round fulfilling. While the maximum win is higher than in many other low-volatility games, I don’t think it’s high enough. It also felt like the volatility was higher, as I went some long stretches without a win. It’s an okay game, but there are better options out there, so it scores 3/5.
