As the name suggests, Piñata Smash has a Mexican fiesta theme. The slot is bursting with colour and fanfare. Hit ’N’ Spin Feature
As mentioned earlier, Piñata Smash comes with a unique Hit ’N’ Spin feature which leads to increasing ways to win. It seems complicated at first, but it’s actually rather simple.
On every winning spin, each symbol which contributed to the win will split in half to create two matching symbols. This gives you another chance to win from a single spin. What’s more, this can continue one more time. In short, each symbol can split into four smaller symbols.
Respin Feature
At the end of any winning spin, all contributing symbols will blast off the reels to be replaced with new symbols. This also triggers a respin. The respins then give you new symbols in the smaller positions, and continue until no new wins are formed.
This is very similar to a cascading wins feature as it allows you to win again and again from a single spin.
Free Games Chance Feature
If a reel is split into 12 positions, you trigger the Free Games Chance feature. You’ll be presented with 2 piñatas to choose from and you simply must click one to continue.
One of the piñatas will have reveal a ‘+1’, giving you an additional free spin. The other piñata will reveal ‘Collect’, ending the feature. There’s an equal chance of hitting either outcome.
If your free spin results in 12 symbols landing on a a reel, the feature is retriggered and you can choose from 2 piñatas again. You can retrigger the feature up to 6 times.
Extra Dynamite Feature
At any point in the base game, you can choose to play with More Dynamite or Max Dynamite. Each option increases the amount of dynamite symbols on the reels:
- More Dynamite – This costs an extra 25% per spin (so a £1 bet rises to £1.50) and more than triples the chance of landing dynamite symbols.

Firstly, the Piñata Smash slot has a great design, with bright colours and fun symbols. Whilst it can seem complicated at first, gameplay is actually easy to follow and this is in part thanks to its bold appearance. It reminds of us NetEnt’s popular Spinata Grande slot too.
