The Mighty Wild™: Gorilla slot game plays out on a 4-reel 3-row game engine with an additional top row for Collect symbols. Mighty Wild™: Gorilla is Wazdan’s third foray into the thick, smoky jungle after successes with Mighty Wild™: Panther and Mighty Wild™: Jaguar. I had assumed the franchise was dedicated to Felidae (cat family), but Wazdan has put the king of primates, the Gorilla, front and centre.
The visuals are sharp and modern as online slots can get, with the right amount of spookiness to keep you alert. There are enough bananas on the reels to feed the silverback, but I would have loved to see him take a knuckle-stand beside the grid—bigger than the one already there.
The cultural drums, haunting flutes, and bird chirps complement the eerie atmosphere nicely.
Although it’s nothing particularly unique, it didn’t feel repetitive during my review at UK Mighty Wild™: Gorilla casinos.
As stated earlier, the game doesn’t feature paying symbols, so there’s no paytable.

Speaking of which, the Silverback acts as the Collector symbol, landing only on the top row. It appears with a random countdown number, from 1 to 10. It is locked in position until the countdown reaches zero.
The game features 3 types of jackpots, all of which can be collected by the Collector symbol. They are:
- Mini: 10x the bet
- Minor: 20x the bet
- Major: 50x the bet
The Cash symbol, on the other hand, carries values ranging from 1x to 10x the bet.
Cash Out
The Cash Out symbol is represented by an Elephant, and it can land anywhere except for the top row of the reels. If a Cash Out symbol appears on the same reel as the Collector, the Collector value is paid out and reset to 0.
Note that the Cash Out symbol is the only way winnings can be awarded in the base game.
Hold the Jackpot™ Bonus Game
Landing a Hold the Jackpot™ symbol on the same reel as an active Collector triggers the Hold the Jackpot™ feature. At the start of the round, 3 respins are awarded, and all symbols, except multipliers, remain sticky when they appear.
Each time a symbol appears, the spin counter resets to 3, and the bonus game continues until you use up the awarded spins. Plus, the round can end when you fill up all reel positions, which instantly awards the Grand Jackpot of 2,500x.
Collector symbols present on the triggering spin continue collecting Cash and Jackpot values until their countdown reaches 0. There is also a multiplier symbol, with random values between 2x and 10x, that applies to the total values collected by the Collector symbol.
Free Spins
Landing a Free Spins symbol on the same reel as an active Collector symbol triggers the Free Spins round. You’re awarded 10 free spins at the start of the round.
Here is a breakdown of the symbols that can appear during free spins and how they work:
- Collector Modifier: appears anywhere except the top row. Wherever it lands on the same reel as the Collector symbol, its value affects the Collector value.
- Multiplier: applies a random multiplier value between 2x and 10x on the total value displayed on the Collector symbol.
- Countdown Booster: increases the Collector countdown by 3.

Mighty Wild™: Gorilla Verdict: Disappointing Potential Payout Win with Little Excitement
Surprisingly, Wazdan has opted for a Gorilla after successful adventures in the thick forest with a Panther and a Jaguar—my bet was on a Tiger. Despite the switch in animal group, the jungle visuals and core mechanics remain untouched, with no paying symbols or paylines in the base game.
However, the gameplay itself isn’t exciting enough, often feeling like a cycle of endless spins in the hope of triggering Free Spins or the Hold & Win round. The only real exception comes if you’re lucky enough to cash out the total value on the Collector symbol with the Cash Out symbol.
Besides, the potential win of 2,500x the bet is underwhelming, so it would be bad advice to play in high volatility mode. But since it’s the highest win potential so far in the series, there’s hope that the sequels will hold promising rewards—if any.
