The Masked Treasures slot uses standard online slots game mechanics. It has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 15 paylines. While the paylines are below average and well off Megaways slots‘ offerings, it’s still close to expectations. You need at least 3 matching symbols on a line to create a win.
Stake limits are excellent in the Masked Treasures slot game. You can start at 10p per spin, which is one of the best minimums for new slots. There’s up to £100 per spin available, ensuring high rollers will find it accessible. You can set your stake and spin the reels with the controls at the bottom. Masked Treasures Theme—A Generic Aztec Theme
You won’t find much new at Masked Treasures casinos. It uses the same Aztec theme that hundreds of slots before it have used. I find it frustrating because you often see developers like NoLimit City taking risks, but then Relax Gaming sticks to what’s been done before.
That’s not to say the graphics are poor quality; they’re colourful and bright, but you’ll have seen them all before. It diminishes their impact somewhat. The sounds offer the same issues. The music fits the theme well enough, but it’s nothing new. Masked Treasures suffers a similar fate to other games that use well-trodden themes. They either need to be the best on the market or showcase something new. Unfortunately, Masked Treasures doesn’t achieve either of these aims.

Masked Treasures Mobile Slot
The Masked Treasures mobile slot uses HTML5 for its development, so it’s a smooth transition from desktop. It retains all of its visual clarity, the sounds are crisp, and the controls are responsive. It’s easy enough to see on a smaller screen, with no squashing of visuals taking place.
In a strange twist of fate, the portrait version is better than the landscape version. It’s rarely the case in 5×3 games, but you see more of the grid in portrait here. If you prefer to play mobile casino games in portrait, then Masked Treasures could be the game for you.

Jungle Jackpots
At any point during the game, both in the base game or bonus rounds, the Jungle Jackpots can trigger. It’s a random prize award, which gives out the Mini, Major, or Mega jackpots. You get a 50, 100, or 200x your stake prize, depending on the jackpot you win.
Prize Ladder
If you land at least 3 collect symbols, it awards the Prize Ladder. It’s visible on the left of the reels, starting at 1x your stake and going all the way up to 3,000x. You need to land the collect symbols on a single spin, and you need 9 to claim the full 3,000x payout.
Free Spins
If you land at least 3 scatters, you get the Free Spins bonus. 3, 4, or 5 scatters award 8, 10, or 12 Free Spins, starting with a 1x multiplier.
Before the round begins, the improvement wheel spins. It’s a wheel with a green and red area on it. If the spinner lands on the green area, you move to the next wheel with improved spins and a multiplier. If you land on a red area, you begin the feature with the highest number of spins and multiplier level you achieve; there’s no going back down.
With 3 scatters, you can get up to 18 spins, 4 awards up to 20, and 5 gives up to 22. The highest multiplier you can reach for all scatters is up to 10x.
Masked Treasures Verdict: Not Bad, but Not Great
Masked Treasures has a couple of endearing features, but there’s not enough here to truly stand out. The collect symbols can pay out well, but it’s rare to hit more than 4. The 5,000x your stake is relatively low for such a volatile game, and what I found frustrating was the lack of significant wins. I hit over 1,000 spins, and 38x my stake was my best win.
The theme is also lacklustre, so there’s no additional enjoyment to help improve the game. It’s hard to rate it any higher than average, particularly with the max win being relatively low for modern standards. I do enjoy the chance to boost spins and multipliers in the Free Spins, but it’s not enough to make Masked Treasures a must-play slot.
