Loner Slot RTP, Details and Wager Limits
Loner uses a 5-reel, 3 row, 243 ways to win game engine. Create winners by landing 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols or wilds on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
Stakes in Loner range from between 20p and £100 per spin. If you’re in a jurisdiction where it’s allowed, you can up the tempo with turbo spin mode or run up to 1,000 autospins (complete with win and loss stop limits). Neither turbo more nor autoplay are available to those playing at UK casinos.
In most cases, the Loner RTP is 96.06% which is about average. There are also versions with 94% and 92.11% return to player rates knocking around too. The 96.06% version has a hit rate of 28.04%. On average, a winning combination hits every 3.86 spins.
Like many slots in the Nolimit City catalogue, the Loner volatility is insanely high (10/10). The game has a maximum win of 14,999 x stake. That max win hits on average once every 3 million spins.
Theme: a sad of old and his telly
A dingy room with walls covered in stains, empty fat shakes and slices of pizza is the setting for Loner. Glamorous this most certainly is not. The reels are set within an old-school, big box-style TV set which is tuned to the shopping channel on the charmingly named C.O.C.K. TV. Classy.
The reels are made up of A to 9 royals (which are done in the style of lettering you might associate with a ransom note). You’ll also see objects for sale from the TV shopping channel including a rubber duck (tagline – Reel Duck Tape), a TV remote control (Order 1 for 2), a slice of pizza (Cardiolicious), a bomb (Banging Deal!) and the Loner himself.
There’s also a wild that substitutes for all the standard symbols as well as a TV monitor that can display a variety of symbols which can trigger a feature.
The soundtrack is rather generic, punctuated by inane TV chatter which bizarrely, fits the theme perfectly.
While not explicitly stated, there’s a real 1980s feel here. The graphics in the features have a blocky, Commodore 64 feel. There’s even a reference to Ronald Reagan.
It’s all very strange but works pretty well. Here’s how the Londer paytable looks:
| Symbol | Payouts/Info |
|---|---|
10 | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.5 or 1 x bet |
J | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.5 or 1 x bet |
Q | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.5 or 1 x bet |
K | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.25, 0.6 or 1.25 x bet |
A | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.25, 0.6 or 1.25 x bet |
Rubber Duck | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.3, 0.75 or 1.25 x bet |
TV Remote | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.35, 0.9 or 1.5 x bet |
Pizza | 3, 4 or 5 = 0.4, 1 or 2 x bet |

Monitor Scatter | Can transform into other symbols or trigger a feature |
Loner Mobile
Loner is available to play on a variety of handsets and devices including most tablets and smartphones. The eccentric Nolimit City style is crystal clear, even if you’re playing on a device with a smaller screen at mobile casinos.
Loner Bonus Features
Nolimit City doesn’t just do unusual themes. It’s a developer that likes to pack plenty of features into their slots. Loner is no exception.
Big Wilds
As well as a single symbol, the wild can appear on the middle 3 reels as a 2×2 or even 3×3 Big Wild. Better still is if an xSplit symbol lands as this splits the wild in all affected positions.
Monitor Modifiers
The monitor scatter symbol can land on reels 1, 3 and 5. If you land 1 or 2 monitors on the same spin, those symbols transform into one of the following:
- Standard Wild – A standard 1×1 wild.
- xSplit – This splits the symbols directly to the left and right, in effect doubling them and increasing the number of ways to win. The monitor then turns into a single, 1×1 wild too.
- Infectious xWays – It turns into a standard 2, 3 or 4 symbol. All other examples of that symbol on the reels then morph into a 2, 3, or 4 symbol. Multiple splits can occur here too.
- Max Win – This automatically triggers the massive 14,999 maximum win.
Land monitors on reels 1, 3 and 5 and you’ll trigger one of the following feature rounds.
Pick the Win
This is a bit like the classic video game Pong. A logo symbol bounces around a screen. If it lands outside a corner, a multiplier of between 1x and 500x is awarded. When the logo does land in a corner, it collects the prize in that corner. These are worth 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100,
250, 500, and 1,000 x stake. Wins are boosted by any awarded multipliers. You can also land the max win here.
Tick Tick Boom
This is a simple pick me feature. Choose one of the 3 buildings. This is then blown up and a prize of between 5 and 1,000 x stake is paid out. The max win can hit here too.
Shoot Shoot Duck
This is a classic fairground-style duck shoot. You’ll start with 5 shots. Hit a duck to reveal one of the following prizes:
- Symbols: This pays the amount shown. Between 1 and 1,000 x stake.
- Bomb: Collects all visible awards when shot.
- Ammo Clip: Increases shots back up to 5.
- Van: Increases its value each step by collecting all visible awards on the game area.
- Max Win: Award Max Win when shot.
Keep shooting until you’ve run out of ammo.
Nolimit Booster
There are a few feature-buy options available in Loner. Increase your stake per spin by 25% per spin and you’re guaranteed to land a monitor on reel 1. The Double Feature costs 35x stake per spin but guarantees monitors on reels 1 and 3. These aren’t available to UK players.
Nolimit Bonus
Players in some territories have the chance to buy a bonus feature directly. These options aren’t available in the UK.
| Option | Cost |
| Tick Tick Boom | 75 x bet |
| Pin the Win | 90 x bet |
| Shoot Shoot Duck | 185 x bet |
| God Mode | 2604 x bet |
| Lucky Draw | 95 x bet |
| Lucky Draw Deluxe | 243 x bet |
Loner Verdict: this loner deserves some company
With a controversial theme, bold design, unusual features and insanely high volatility, Loner ticks all the usual boxes for a slot from Nolimit City.
The Loner of the title appears to have a bit of a miserable life. He’d probably be called an ‘incel’ if you were making a game about a similar type of character from today. The game comes with plenty of extras though and there’s no shortage of action here.
The Monitor modifiers appear fairly regularly but it’s the three main bonus rounds that offer the best winning potential. They can all in fact, deliver the max win of 14,999 x stake. The lack of free spins might be a bit of a deal break for some, but the other bonuses can pack a decent punch. I found the Duck Shoot the pick of this particular bunch.
As usual for a Nolimit slot, Loner won’t be for everyone. It’s not quite as insane as Kenneth Must Die but it will still likely be something of an acquired taste. If you’ve enjoyed the other slots from this developer, Loner is well worth a closer look.
Loner FAQs
The Loner return to player rate is 96.06% which is just above average. The game is insanely volatile, coming in at the maximum 10/10.
The Loner maximum win is 14,999 x stake. Not quite as high as some other Nolimit slots (Tombstone RIP and its massive 300,000 x jackpot) but still not to be sniffed at.
Perhaps surprisingly, there aren’t any free spins on offer in Loner. There are plenty of $1 to get stuck into. Boring this ain’t.
Yes, you can try out the $1 here at Online-slot.co.uk. With its unusual theme and gameplay, it’s well worth taking it for a spin in demo mode.
