King Colossus is a 5 reel, 40 payline video slot powered by QuickSpin. It has a wealth theme featuring the rewarding King Colossus himself. It benefits from stacked King Colossus symbols as well as stacked wilds which can result in some seriously big wins. You can play from as little as 40p a spin to as much as £120 a spin.
This game is all about the Free Spins feature which is activated when you get 3 Bonus scatter symbols on the 3 middle reels (reels 2, 3 and 4) simultaneously. You are then rewarded with 5 free spins – however, these are no normal free spins by any stretch of the imagination.
The game benefits from 2 different wilds symbols – you have a Bonus wild symbol (the Golden Lion that looks to the right) which only appears in the free spins feature. 2 or more of these symbols will appear on a random position on reels 1 and/or 5 for each free spin. I’ve managed to get the Bonus Wild stacked on both reels 1 and 5 before!
The feature also benefits from a +1 Spin symbol which can appear on any of the 3 middle reels (2, 3 and 4). Every time you get one of these symbols, you will get an additional free spin. I’m not sure how many of these you can get per free spins but I’ve only had 1 on a free spin before.
However, the main attraction of the feature is the massive King symbol. The King symbol will transform into a massive 3×3 symbol grid on reels 2, 3 and 4. If you get this 3×3 grid across all 3 rows as well as guaranteed wilds on reels 1 and 5, prepare yourself for a huge win (you will get up to 3 Bonus Wilds on each free spin).
I found King Colossus to be a medium to high variance slot game with the bigger wins coming in the free spins feature naturally. I managed to get the Massive King symbol cover all 3 rows on 2 separate free spins – that resulted in me winning over 650 times my stake. Most of the time though, I tend to win about 30 to 50 times my stake.
I really like this slot and the thrill of chasing the 3×3 block in the feature is great – you just need to be patient! I’ve played quite a few QuickSpin slots and this is certainly my favourite due to the potential of big wins.
