Bells and Frames Feature
In the base game, bell symbols can appear on the middle 3 reels. When you lad one, it activates a frame around that position. Any new bell symbols that land below a frame increase a multiplier on that frame by 1x per bell.
If you land a scatter symbol when frames are present on the reels, all symbols in frames turn into Wilds, or Wilds with multipliers. The multipliers then apply to all wins which include the wild.
Cash Drop Free Spins Feature
Land a scatter symbol on both the first and last reels and you trigger the Cash Drop bonus feature. You receive 3 free spins to begin with, and these are played on Hold’n Win style reels.
All scatter symbols used to trigger the feature come with a 3x multiplier upon entering the round. During the feature, only blanks or Cash Drop symbols appear. Jingle Bells Bonanza is one of the better looking Christmas slots we’ve come across, and it’s also nice to see it’s not just a reskin of an existing NetEnt title. With Santa himself, elves, and bells it’s certainly festive and there’s plenty to enjoy in the base game.
The frames and bells feature is good fun, and it’s nice to see yourself fill the progress bar. However, the problem is that there’s no big wins available here. Sure, wilds can carry mulitpliers but these take a while to rack up.
With not much on offer in the base game, you’d be forgiven for thinking the bonus round would be fun of Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, it’s a little boring and ugly. The Cash Drop reels and symbols look unfinished and there’s not much more than an average Hold’n Win game on offer.
Of course, receiving progress prize upgrades is the way to success. Our favourites were the Multiplier and Golden Cash Drop symbols, as these can pave the way for much bigger wins. This is your best chance at getting anywhere near those 4,186 x bet max payouts.
