As you’d expect, the design in Irish Luck is done cartoon-style and has a light-hearted feel – set against a hilly, green, rainbow-filled backdrop, the reels include many of the Irish stereotypes you’d expect to see.
Look out for glasses of stout and gold coins which pay up to 100 coins per payline, toadstools and castles which award up to 200 coins and a trail which awards up to 300 coins. The rainbow and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow come next, each awarding up to 500 coins. The top payer is the tree full of gold coins – land 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these in combination and you’ll pocket 5, 30, 100 or 1,000 coins (40 times your stake).
You’ll also see the letter I, R, I, S and H. Make a word combo containing 2, 3 or 4 letters and you’ll win 5, 25, or 500 coins. Spell out IRISH and you’ll pocket 120 times your stake (or 3,000 coins). The 4-leaf clover is the wild – it can land on reels 2 and 4 only and replaces all other symbols apart from the 2 scatters. Any winning payline that includes a wild is doubled.
Land 3, 4 or 5 of the grinning leprechaun and you’ll win 4, 15 or 50 times your total stake – you’ll also trigger the Prize Pick feature. You’re taken to a new screen and given a choice of tree stumps – the number of picks you have depends on how many leprechaun scatters triggered the round.
If there is a fairy hiding there, you’ll win a multiplier prize of up to 100 times your stake. Land the leprechaun and you’ll win 10 free spins with all payouts boosted by a 2x multiplier and doubled.
Match & Win feature – this round is triggered by landing 3 or more fairy scatters. Once again, you’ll win a cash prize equal to 4, 15 or 50 times your total stake. You’ll then be shown a selection of 4-leaf clovers, behind which lie multiplier values. Pick until you find matching values. That’s the prize you’ll then win – awards of up to 100 times your stake are on offer here.
The theme may be as old as they come but Irish Luck is pretty fresh. Both the Prize Pick and Match & Win features offer some decent winning potential. It’s not the most beautiful slot you’ll see but the range of extras on offer are top class and deliver plenty of action.
