The Gemix 2 slot game is a cluster pays slot with a solid 7×7 gaming grid. Unlike regular online slots, wins are created by landing 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster (connected horizontally or vertically) starting from the leftmost reel.
Every win triggers a tumble or avalanche, in which the winning symbols are removed from the reels, and existing symbols fall into empty positions. Tumbling continues as long as a winning combination hits.

Honestly, it’s a struggle to choose which is more appealing: the original or this sequel. But since the original was released over a decade ago, this one edges it out in sharpness and would certainly hold its own against some of the best online slots out there.
As for the soundtrack, it changes with the scenery, so don’t get too attached to any of them. What truly caught my attention is the voice-overs by the guardians; they add a personality to each world.

Gemix 2 Mobile Slot

Crystal Charge
When you blast away at least 25 symbols on a spin, you will bring a Crystal Charge feature into play. With 4 of them to benefit from, here’s what you can expect:
- Nova Blast: 1 symbol explodes, destroying and transforming adjacent symbols.
- Crystal Warp: 1 symbol is targeted with all instances warped into other symbols.
- Light Beam: 1 symbol shoots out light beams, with all symbols hit transformed to other symbols.
- Chain Lightning: 2 corner symbols are connected with a lightning chain. All hit symbols transform into 1 of the corner symbols.
Super Charge
If you manage to blast away 50 or more symbols, you will trigger the Super Charge feature. All 4 Crystal Charge features trigger simultaneously along with a 2x multiplier. You can retrigger this multiple times with the multiplier increasing by 2 each time, up to 20x.
World Bonus
On each spin, you will notice some symbol positions are highlighted. When you get a win on that position, it runs yellow. Clear 2 patterns on each world to progress to the next one. You have the knight, miner, princess, and wizard worlds. Wins increase the World Bonus feature.
When you clear a world, the G-Nome character (a shady travelling merchant) appears each time. Pick 1 of his pockets for a chance to win the World Bonus feature. This amount is displayed to the right of the grid.
World Wilds
Up to 4 guardians can appear during play, each with a unique wild symbol. Each world naturally has its own guardian. The World Wild feature triggers randomly, and the corresponding guardian of the world will be the first one to appear. Here’s what they each offer you:
- Knight: Up to 2 Mega Wilds can appear with multipliers
- Miner: Up to 10 wilds can appear
- Princess: Wilds can spread from edge to edge

Gemix 2 Verdict: Great Visuals with Exciting Modifiers
The Gemix 2 slot is very similar to the original game. Graphically, it’s sharper and adds another guardian and world. However, the bonus features are also almost identical, with a few changes here and there.
The Crystal Charge features are also better, and the Super Charge feature is promising, offering a potential 20x multiplier. The values of the paying symbols are lower, though, so you need those multipliers to win bigger.
Overall, Gemix 2 is a decent grid slot, but it’s not much different from the original game. Also, the gameplay might be complex for some players, so I recommend playing the Gemix 2 demo before going in with real cash.
