Gem Crush Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Gem Crush slot is played on a 6×8 grid and uses the Cluster Pays mechanic. Wins are formed by landing 5 or more symbols in a cluster, which means they’re adjacent to each other horizontally or vertically.
Stakes range from just 10p up to £20 per spin. Simply hit the + and – buttons on either side of the bet value below the grid. You can also select the visible value to choose from numerous predefined values. Non-UK players can also enjoy autospins and turbo spins.
The Gem Crush RTP is 96.1%, which is above the industry average. In terms of volatility, it’s in the medium range and rated 3 out of 5 by the provider. The hit frequency is medium to high and rate 4 out of 5.
The maximum win is 4,361.4 x the bet. This isn’t too bad but there are many other slots on the market that are much higher. NetEnt’s Dazzle Me Megaways, which has gems as part of the action, is a prime example with max win potential of 50,000 x the bet.
Theme: seize the temple’s hidden riches
The reels are set inside a temple, which is in front of a waterfall in the forest. You can hear the birds chirping away and the flow of the water in between spins. It’s all very tranquil. Spin away and the soundtrack is quite magical and fairytale-like. Land the Free Spins feature and day turns to night, with the audio on changing ever so slightly. The visuals are great and the colours really make everything stand out.
On the reels, the numerous gemstones make up the paying symbols. Some are frames, some aren’t. The framed orange gem is the most rewarding symbol, paying 0.6 the bet for 5 or more in combination up to 80 x the bet for 30+.
The game’s Wild is a large W that substitutes for all paying symbols. It can also appear as a 2×2 Wild in the Free Spins feature. More on that further down in the review.

Gem Crush Mobile
The Immortal Desire release date is the 12th of December 2023. Produced using HTML5 technology, it will detect the device you’re playing on. Compatible with laptops, PCs, mobiles and tablets, it can be enjoyed on iOS and Android smartphones. However, I do personally prefer grid slots of this kind of size on a larger screen to appreciate the visuals more.
Gem Crush Bonus Features
There are 5 bonus features in the Gem Crush slot game. From multipliers and rainbow gems to colossal wilds and free spins, there’s a lot going on. Let’s run you through all of the bonus features and how they work, starting with the multipliers.
Multipliers
Randomly on any spin, a multiplier can be activated which will multiply all wins by either 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. You will see this multiplier displayed next to the grid.
Rainbow Gems
If a Rainbow gem lands anywhere on the grid, it will mark one symbol type to upgrade to another symbol type for that spin. No more than 4 Rainbow gems can appear during the Free Spins feature, which leads us nicely on…
Free Spins feature
Land 3 Bonus scatters anywhere on the grid in the base game to trigger this bonus feature. You will be awarded 10 free spins. During the bonus round, 4 modifiers will come into play:
- Increasing Multiplier: This doesn’t reset for the entirety of the bonus round and will increase by 1x on every 2nd spin.
- Colossal Wild: At least one 2×2 Wild will land on each spin.
- Symbol Transformation: Up to 4 transformations can happen with a Rainbow gem during the bonus round and they will last until the free spins have ended.
- XStrike: The multiplier increases by 1x every time this feature is activated.
Gem Crush Review Summary: Wilds and Multipliers are the key to bigger wins
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first loaded the Gem Crush slot. With the calming soundtrack and pleasant backdrop, I thought before I hit the spin button that the gameplay might be a little slow. I was right. While the 6×8 grid allows for plenty of action, the wins were small most of the time, which was surprising for a slot with medium variance versus one with higher volatility.
The improved gameplay comes when you trigger the Free Spins feature. The provider hasn’t divulged any sort of hit rate for this bonus feature, but it took me quite a while to land it, although I didn’t count how many spins it took me. The 2×2 Wilds and the multipliers help boost the excitement factor during the 10 free spins. But I was left wishing there was another feature or something unique that I hadn’t seen before. NetEnt used to be great at that.
Overall, while it didn’t blow me away in any way, shape or form, it was still a nice slot to play. It would certainly suit anyone who enjoys gem-themed games, although the max win potential of 4,361 x the bet isn’t the best.
