Forge of Fortunes Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Forge of Fortunes slot is as basic as online slots come. There are 3 reels and just 1 payline. Winning combinations are created when 3 gold nugget symbols appear on all 3 reels. There are no other symbols oddly.
Stake options range from 10p to £100 per spin. With 5 bet options appearing below the reels, the plus and minus arrows either side allow you to change your bet easily. For non-UK slot players, click on the Lightning Bolt icon below the game to bring the Turbo Mode into play. You may find (again for players not from the UK) an Autoplay facility which allows up to 100 auto spins. There are options to choose single win and balance limits too.
The Forge of Fortunes RTP is 96.2%. This is Play ‘n GO’s go-to return rate but, importantly, slightly higher than the 96% slots average. The volatility is in the medium category (6/10).
In terms of max exposure, the most you can win is 2,500 x your total bet. This can be won from the solitary bonus feature (more details below).
Theme – forge the biggest gold bar and win a fortune
With a mining theme, the Forge of Fortunes slot is set way down in the depths of mines, where glistening treasures await. The aim is to mine precious metals and smelt them in the heat of the forge to win a fortune. Be careful as worthless rocks can set you back on your quest for the purest gold.
Set deep down in a mine, the reels are set within a machine that produces pure gold. The graphics are good and it’s dark. The makes the gold nuggets on the reels stand out. Visually, it’s rather basic though with a generic soundtrack.
There are no prospectors, dynamite sticks, pickaxes, helmets, lanterns and mining carts as you’ll find in countless other mining themed slots. It’s aesthetically very different to the likes of Fire in the Hole (Nolimit City), Bonanza Megaways (Big Time Gaming) and Diamond Mine Megaways (Blueprint Gaming).
On the reels, there are just 2 symbols. You have gold nuggets and slag (which is stony waste matter separated from metals during the smelting process. 2 gold nugget symbols on reels 1 and 2 will award 2 x your total bet. Land 3 to trigger the only bonus feature. There are no wild or scatter/bonus symbols.
Forge of Fortunes Mobile
Produced by Play ‘n GO using the latest HTML5 technology, Forge of Fortunes is optimised for mobile, laptop, PC and tablet devices. You can play the game on any device that is powered by iOS, Android and/or Windows amongst others. The simple setup works rather well on smartphones.
Forge of Fortunes Bonus Features
The Forge of Fortunes slot comes with 1 bonus feature. The Forging Re-Spins feature gives you re-spins as long as you keep landing 3 gold nuggets. The more you do this, the bigger the payout.
Forging Re-Spins feature
The Forging Re-Spins feature is triggered when you land 3 gold nuggets across 3 reels. You then get a free re-spin. The re-spins continue as long as you land 3 gold nuggets or until the slag symbol appears.
With each re-spin, the Forged Prizes smelt under the heat of the forge and into the moulds. Beginning with a 2x bet Forged Prize, you keep matching 3 gold nuggets to increase the Forged Prize.
This can lead to 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100, 200, 500, 1,000 and 2,500 x bet prizes. To win the top 2,500 x bet prize, you would need 14 consecutive re-spins.
Look out for the coal symbol appearing on the 3rd reel during the re-spins. When the coal lands, the alarm goes off and mixes with the gold. This moves you back 1 step on the Forged Prize ladder. However, the re-spins continue. The feature only ends when slag appears on the reels.
Forge of Fortunes Review Summary – unusual + repetitive mining themed slot
When you think of mining themed slots, there are so many to choose from these days. Bonanza Megaways and Fire in the Hole may be the most popular but there’s always room for more. The Forge of Fortunes slot is unusual in terms of gameplay and Play ‘n GO need to be applauded for trying something new.
Visually quite basic, the action is solely about the Forging Re-Spins feature. It does trigger very frequently though which helps. Expect 2 to 5 re-spins most of the time which will result in a payout of 5 to 15 x your total bet. Winning 2,500 x your total bet (the max win) seems virtually impossible though to me. The most I’ve won (in demo mode) is 50 x my total bet.
That said, the max win isn’t something to shout about either. Play ‘n GO offer much higher win potential with the likes of Rocco Gallo (10,000 x bet) and Raging Rex 2 (30,000 x bet) offering much more. In summary, I’m a tad disappointed. Yes, Play ‘n GO have tried something different but I doubt this will appeal to many slot players.
