The graphics have a scratchy cartoon style, and I really like it. It almost feels like Ren and Stimpy, which shows how unique it is. 

The sounds are incredible. You’ll load up Flight Mode casinos and be blown away by the music. It sounds like airport music, and even has announcements that play periodically. The Flight Mode mobile slot keeps its great looks and controls from the desktop version. It looks fantastic on a smaller screen, with no loss of clarity or pixel blur. The sounds are just as good through smaller speakers, and weren’t tinny. It’s a solid mobile casino conversion, making it simple to switch from desktop. 

Flight Mode Bonus Features

In terms of Flight Mode bonus features, there’s quite a bit going on here. It has multiple base game features and a fun bonus round. It uses cascading reels, which are triggered by removing winning symbols and letting new ones fall in. 

Bombs and xHole

Bombs and xHole symbols can both land on any spin. They don’t become active instantly and only start when a non-winning spin lands. 

The bomb explodes and removes all symbols horizontally and vertically. It allows new symbols to fall in, potentially creating new wins. The xHole will draw in all symbols and randomise their position on the reels. It then turns into a wild, which can create a win.

Multiplier

Whenever you create a win, it increases the multiplier on all symbols. It continues until all cascades end, and then resets. There are multiplier symbols that can appear, which will instantly increase the multiplier by between 2 and 10. There’s also a golden multiplier, which doubles the value of the next multiplier to appear. 

Max Win Row

At the bottom of the reels is a row of locked symbols. When you explode a bomb into this symbol, it unlocks. If you unlock all symbols on a single spin, it pays out the maximum win. The locks reappear on each new spin. 

Flee Spins

No, that’s not a misspelling. The bonus round is called Flee Spins, I assume because you’re fleeing at the airport. It begins when you land 3, 4, or 5 scatters. This will award 6, 9, or 12 spins. The multiplier doesn’t reset during the bonus round, so it can increase to significant levels. The max win symbols also remain unlocked.

You can buy spin modifiers and bonus rounds in Flight Mode. The spin modifiers are as follows:

• Scatter – For 3.3x your stake, you guarantee a scatter on the second reel
• xHole – 6x your stake gives you an xHole symbol on the second reel

For 90, 220, or 500x your stake, you get 6, 9, or 12 Flee Spins. If you pay 911x your stake, it begins God Mode, which adds random bombs to the reels to try and unlock the maximum win.

There’s a lot to like about Flight Mode, with some fun features and impressive sound and visuals. The only real drawback is that the top win doesn’t compete with the top-paying games on the market.

Flight Mode is a really fun slot. I like it a lot, with the visuals and sounds a highlight. There’s a lot going on with the gameplay, and the cascading reels are always a welcome addition. 

The maximum win is the only area for improvement. I feel like it’s a bit low, especially with so many 10,000x+ games out there now. It’s not to say Flight Mode isn’t a good game. It’s plenty of fun and will keep you entertained when you spin. If you like quirky cascading reels slots, this is one that’s worth trying.
