The Fist of Destruction slot is played using a slightly unusual 5-reel, 4-row, 14-payline game engine. Wins are formed by landing 3 or more matching symbols from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
You can join the battle at bet levels between 10p and £100 per spin. Use the arrows next to the spin button to adjust your stake. Theme: crush your opponents
There’s a video game feel to the design in Fist of Destruction which is very well put together. A dingy alleyway in a big city is the setting here. Flanked alongside the reels are two fighters. On the left side are team blue, and on the right are team red. There are four possible fighters to choose from. Click on their icon above the reels. Changing the fighters doesn’t impact the game but it does allow you to freshen up the visuals from time to time. There are two muscle-clad men, a woman in a bandana and a rather portly brawler to choose from.
The symbols on the reels appear on wooden panels and are comic-book-style. It works well. As does the stirring soundtrack, punctuated by blaring sirens. There’s nothing to grumble about as far as sound and visuals are concerned.
The lower value symbols in Fist of Destruction are A, K, Q, 10 and J royals. More rewarding are the four fighters, with the Male Character 3 symbol paying the most. There’s also a wild that substitutes for all the standard symbols when it makes up part of a winning combination.

Fist Symbol Wild Reels
Keep a special eye out for the red and blue fist symbols. These are wild and can expand upwards to fill the remaining positions on the reel if that expansion creates a winning combination. If the fist expands through and punches a fighter of the opposite team (for example, a red fist expands through a blue fighter and vice versa) a multiplier is added to that wild reel. If the fist expands through more than one opposition fighter, the value of the multipliers is added together to deliver an even bigger payout boost.
Throwdown Bonus!
Trigger this round by landing 3 FS scatter symbols anywhere on the reels on the same spin. You’ll then go on to play 10 free spins. The standard base game action is in play during the feature. There’s an added fight element too as Team Red battles against Team Blue.
Both teams start with a +3 Victory Level. Land a fist that expands through and punches an opposition fighter and that team gains a Victory Point. When a team collects 3 Victory Points, you’ll receive a re-spin with the Epic Drop. That team’s Victory Level is also boosted by 1. Fist symbols are awarded during an Epic Drop. Fist of Destruction Verdict: a really good Hacksaw release
When I started testing this slot, I immediately thought of Beast Below as the Fist Wilds are similar to the Siren Wilds in that game. I like what the provider has done overall here as they’ve put together common features that are enjoyed so much by players and produced a fantastic game. You have to like the theme, though, as it’s not going to cater to everyone.
Boasting terrific design, Fist of Destruction comes with some innovative gameplay. I like the team element which can bring multipliers into play alongside expanding wilds. The main draw here is the Throwdown Bonus which offers unlimited free spins.
The maximum win of 10,000 x bet is pretty standard when it comes to Hacksaw slots but it’s great to see that the RTP rate is above average and volatility levels are super high.
