Eye of Atum Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Like with most ancient Egyptian themed games by Play ‘n GO, the Eye of Atum slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 fixed paylines. Simply line up 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols from left to right (beginning on the first reel) across any of the 10 paylines.
Stakes are standard for a Play ‘n GO slot with a bet range of between 10p and £100 per spin. You will also see 5 available bets below the reels with the plus and minus buttons needed to adjust accordingly. For quicker spins, there’s a Lightning Bolt icon which enables Turbo Mode. You will also come across an Autoplay facility. Both these options are not allowed in the UK.
If you’re a fan of Play ‘n GO, you won’t be surprised to learn the Eye of Atum RTP is 96.2%. Higher than the 96% average, it’s the go-to rate for the reputable provider. The volatility is high and ranked as 7/10.
Finally, the max win per spin is 2,000 x your total stake. The chances of winning this top payout is once in 100 million spins. The max win is lower than most ancient Egyptian slots by Play ‘n GO (normally 5,000 x bet/stake per spin).
Theme – join this ancient Egyptian deity in search of riches
With an ancient Egyptian theme, the Eye of Atum slot is based on a self-created deity, Atum, who was considered to the first god. Known as the father of the gods as the father of the pharaohs, the graphics are quite simple compared to other similarly themed slots.
Set at the entrance of an ancient tomb with palm trees either side of the reels, Atum harnesses unimaginable power. Your aim is to claim his fortune. On the reels, symbols include low value A, K, Q and J royals. The higher value symbols are represented by Ankh crosses, a shuwt (feather fan), crook and flails, Bastet, scarab beetles and the Eye of Atum. The Eye of Atum is the best paying symbol giving you 10, 25 or 50 x stake for 3, 4 or 5 on a payline.
Atum is the wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols above. Appearing on the 3 middle reels only, it also expands to cover the reels when it lands (more details below). The pyramid is the scatter and pays 2, 20 or 500 x stake for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.

Eye of Atum Mobile
Created by Play ‘n GO using HTML5 technology, Eye of Atum can be played on mobile, tablet, laptop and/or PC devices. This includes ones operating with iOS, Windows, Android and MAC software. The 5×3 setup is perfect for mobile devices but the best visual experience will always be on a larger screen naturally.
Eye of Atum Bonus Features
The Eye of Atum slot has just 2 bonus features. With expanding wilds in the base game, the free spins benefits from expanding wilds that upgrade other symbols. Wilds also give you additional free spins.
Expanding Wilds feature
Look out for the Atum wild symbol appearing on any of the 3 middle reels. When it does, the Expanding Wilds feature will be triggered. The Atum wild then expands the gives you a fully wild reel. Substituting for all symbols bar the scatter, you can benefit from 3 fully wild reels on each spin.
Free Spins feature
The Free Spins feature is activated when 3 or more pyramid scatters appear anywhere on the reels. 3, 4 or 5 scatters will pay 2, 20 or 500 x stake as well as 12 free spins.
When an Atum wild lands, it expands and upgrades the low value symbol to the next lowest value symbol. This can continue until all symbols are upgrades to the highest value symbol, the Eye of Atum. This dramatically increases your chances of winning bigger amounts.
Furthermore, 1, 2 or 3 Atum wilds landing on the same free spin will give you 1, 3 or 5 additional free spins respectively. You can also win 12 more free spins by landing 3 or more pyramid scatters. In total, you can play with up to 150 free spins.
Eye of Atum Review Summary – more of the same ancient Egyptian gameplay
The Eye of Atum slot is another game in a long line of ancient Egyptian games from Play ‘n GO. Visually not as sharp as other releases, the imagery reminds me of a slot you’ll see at a land-based casino. Whilst this might please some players, it’s not to my taste personally.
In terms of gameplay, expanding wilds are also welcome but they take on a special property during the free spins. The Atum wild expands and then upgrades low value symbols. Hopefully you land enough wilds to play with the highest value Eye of Atum symbol. That said, a screen full of Eye of Atum symbols will result in a 500 x stake max win.
The max payout is 2,000 x stake which can be won in the Free Spins feature as a whole. When the likes of Book of Dead and Legacy of Dead offer 5,000 x bet max wins, Eye of Atum disappoints unfortunately. There is nothing that makes this game stand out in my opinion so you’re best served elsewhere.
