The Dropz slot is played on a 6×6 grid initially, but that can expand to 6 reels and 8 rows, which will give you up to 262,144 ways to win. All wins start from the leftmost reel and pay from left to right only on the consecutive reels.

The reels are set in Candyland, with candy canes, lollipops and doughnuts appearing in the background to get your juices flowing. With chocolate on the reels alongside some hard candy symbols, it reminds me of a frustrating game of Candy Crush with its appearance.
The soundtrack has an element of retro disco music and rock. It’s difficult to put a certain sound with a theme like this, but I guess this may be it. The audio does die down at times and moves into a fairytale-like groove before the guitars begin playing. The effects of the symbols add to the overall appeal too. It’s all very nicely put together.
On the reels, you’ve got different coloured sweets as the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by the higher-paying lemons, grapes, apples, strawberries, and pink 7s that look like liquorice. The Pink 7 symbol is the most rewarding, paying 2, 5, 15 or 50 x your stake for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination.
The game’s Wild is a gold W with blue trim. It is sometimes locked and substitutes for any paying symbol on the grid.

Dropz Mobile

Dropz Bonus Features
There are 5 main bonus features here. You’ve got Avalanches, Levels, Multipliers, Chocolate, and a X-itier feature that’s unfortunately not available in the UK. Let’s run you through how everything works so that you have a full grasp on the slot in full.
Avalanche feature
Every winning combination and paired symbols will explode, except for Locked Wilds. New symbols will then drop down to refill the grid.
The explosions also bring the chocolate into play. Chocolate acts as a blocker on the grid. It may contain a symbol in its position that will not become active until the chocolate explodes. This happens when an adjacent symbol explodes as part of an avalanche.
As a result of the chocolate exploding, it will either become an empty position or it will activate the symbol that’s there. The avalanches and chocolate explosions will continue until no new winners are formed.
Pair Matching Multiplier
Above the reels, you will notice a Pair Matching section displaying 2 symbols of the same colour with a rewarding multiplier and the Win Multiplier next to it.
Each time the Pair Matching symbols appear next to each other on the grid, they will be paired and collected towards the meter. Then the avalanche begins and the explosions happen. When the Pair Matching meter is full, the rewarding multiplier will be added to the Win Multiplier. A new pair of matching symbols and rewarding multiplier will be displayed once the current one is full.
There are also a couple of important symbols to make note of here. There’s the ReDropz feature symbol and the Locked Wild feature symbol. Here’s what happens when either of them land:
- ReDropz – adds 1-2 extra drops to the ongoing base game or bonus game.
- Locked Wild – a Wild that will stay for 3 wins before being removed after the final win. The symbols will remain between any redropz but are removed on any level upgrades.
Level Upgrades
The game starts at level 1. You unlock the next level by activating the Level Up symbol from the chocolate at the current level. Here’s the number of rows in the game for each level:

Collect 3 Bonus symbols as you spin away in the base game of the Dropz slot game to trigger the Free Dropz feature. 8 rows are in play here, with 5 of them being completely covered in chocolate initially.
You are awarded 5 free ReDropz, and no additional chocolate blockers are added during this bonus round. However, new features can appear in the chocolate that’s there. Locked Wilds remain, and it’s also worth noting that the bonus round has no level progression.
X-iter feature

Dropz Review Summary – looks complicated at first glance
If you can stick with this slot for at least a few minutes to understand it all, it does become a fun game to play. There’s a lot going on, which could confuse you, to begin with. The rules listed in the game aren’t too clear either. But if you read this review, it’ll definitely help you. If you’ve got this far, you probably already have, so you should be good to go.
The big downside is the low RTP of 94%. It’s nowhere near close to any of the better slots on the market with a similar theme. However, the 25,000 x max win potential makes up for it a little. At least it’s not a very low figure. Additionally, it’s good to see that volatility is in the medium to high range and not through the roof.
