The action in Dragon’s Dawn plays out on a 6 reel, 6 row game grid. To create a winning combination, you need to land 8 or more of the same symbol (or wild) anywhere on the reels. After a winning combination hits, those symbols are blasted from the reels and new symbols drop in and replace them. If a new winner hits, the process is repeated. The avalanches continue as long as there’s a winner on display. With each successive win, a multiplier increases by 1x. In the base game, this resets to 1x following a winless avalanche.

The design in Dragon’s Dawn is superbly done. Think Lord of the Rings crossed with Game of Thrones. A mysterious location known as the Light Realm is the setting here. A re-trigger or two allows that multiplier to grow which is when the wizard can start to work his magic. Be warned though, for all its lovely looks, Dragon’s Dawn is a fiery beast and the volatility is high. Expect some lengthy spells when your bankroll will burn to a crisp.
