The reels are set on the roof of a temple, with cherry blossoms falling on either side. It’s got a very traditional feel to everything, which is great if you’re a fan of the theme. I’m not quite sure how the title came about as the Dragon doesn’t feel like a hero here, but that’s just me thinking out loud and it doesn’t really matter, to be honest. Just an observation.
The soundtrack is slow and calming, with traditional Chinese instruments being used. You can also hear birds chirping and the sound of running water before you spin away. It could be used as an ASMR track, it’s that relaxing. Spin the reels and the audio intensifies. It speeds up further when the Free Spins feature lands, and the background changes to a more party-like atmosphere with fireworks going off behind the reels.

Super Wilds

Free Spins feature

The Dragon Hero slot felt quite ‘samey’ when comparing it to a lot of other Pragmatic slots. It’s just got a different theme attached to it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as I expect many will enjoy it, but I can’t say I was blown away. It’s a fun slot to play for a while, but I’m not sure the longevity is there. It could well be forgotten about once a new Asian-themed slot hits the market.
The 5,000 x max win isn’t too bad, and it’s always nice to see a slot that has an RTP rate above average, but I was just hoping to see a little more overall. Maybe 1 more bonus feature could have helped it go from OK to great. It gets a thumbs up from me still as it’s a good game to play, but it’s certainly not going on the list with the best slots around.
