With an ancient Egyptian theme, the Dawn of Kings slot follows adventurer Amy Dawn on her quest through the treacherous temple of ancient Kings (according to Hacksaw Gaming anyway).
Set in a chamber and with Amy holding a torch to the side of the reels, there isn’t much of a soundtrack as you simply hear echoes and the sound of the stone reels turning as you spin away. This does add to the intensity and excitement, in my opinion, though.
On the reels, there are low-value A, K, Q, J and 10 royals. Higher-value symbols include scarab beetles and gods Bastet, Anubis and Horus. Then you have Amy Dawn which is the best-paying symbol. 3, 4 or 5 across a payline will reward you with 10, 100 or 1,000 x your total bet, respectively.

Dawn of Kings Verdict: yet another ‘Book of’ slot with some extra options
With so many ancient Egyptian-themed slots available, the Dawn of Kings slot has a lot to live up to. Graphically, it’s relatively simple, with visuals that don’t set it apart from the most popular ones in the genre.
Hacksaw Gaming has ventured to ancient Egypt a number of times now with Undead Fortune and Temple of Torment two slots you should try. Other slot providers have featured female adventurers such as Play ‘n GO (Cat Wilde), Pragmatic Play (Jane Hunter) and Games Global (Lara Croft).
Using the popular ‘Book of’ mechanic, there’s nothing unique about the gameplay in Dawn of Kings. The Book mechanic can trigger randomly on a base game spin, and the free spins features give you 1 or 3 special expanding symbols. If you get Amy Downs as the special symbol, a screen full of the adventurer will lead to 10,000 x bet payouts.
What Hacksaw does differently is use the Best of Bonus feature like they did in Chaos Crew 2. With 10,000 x bet max wins, the Dawn of Kings slot doesn’t offer anything new or exciting, unfortunately. In its own right, it’s a decent game but I’m not easily pleased considering how many ‘Book of’ slot options there are available online.
