Candy Glyph is a grid slot, played on a 7×7 grid with a cluster pays mechanism. This means that to create a win, you simply need to land 5+ matching symbols, connected horizontally or vertically.

First, let’s get this out of the way. Candy Glyph is a clone of Golden Glyph so the layout is exactly the same. What’s new, however, is the jelly candy symbols and the slightly Mexican theme. The reels hang against a fiesta backdrop and, upon them, you’ll find different shaped jelly sweets. Lower paying symbols are triangles, squares, rings and beans, whilst higher paying symbols include stars and limes. The chilli sweet is the highest paying symbol, rewarding you with 250 x your stake for a 15+ symbol cluster.

Tumble Wins Feature
Common in new slots, the tumble wins feature removes any symbols that contribute to a win from the reels. New symbols then drop In to take their place, allowing you to win multiple times from a single spin. The process repeats until no new wins are formed.
Power WIld Feature
The Power Wild is present in both the base game and the Free Spins feature. Once a winning cluster is removed from the reels, the Power Wild is placed in one of the empty spaces left behind. This gives you a better chance of creating a win when the new symbols drop in.
Like regular wilds, the Power Wild substitutes for all regular symbols. If a Power Wild is removed through a win, it also activates a Power-Up.
Power-Up Feature

The Free Spins bonus feature is triggered by the Free Spins Power-up, and you receive 9 free spins to begin with. You also receive an additional 3 free spins each time you receive a Free Spins Power Up during the feature.
On your 1st free spin, a Piñata Glyph Wild is added to the grid. This has a starting multiplier of 1x which increases by 1 each time it contributes to a winning combination.
On each spin, the Piñata Glyph Wild moves to a new location and it is not removed via tumbles. The multiplier can also reach up to a maximum of 99x, which gives you a good shot at claiming max payouts.
Candy Glyph Review Summary – fun, but still a clone
Overall, we enjoyed playing Candy Glyph. This didn’t come as a surprise, however, as we liked the original Golden Glyph slot too.
As a true clone, Candy Glyph is no more exciting than Golden Glyph, unless you go mad for the sugary theme. This is a little disappointing, however, when you consider that Quickspin have already created Golden Glyph 2 and Golden Glyph 3. The latter was a bit of a dud in our eyes, but the second instalment offered huge wins of 26,800 x bet. Compared to the 13,185.2 x stake max wins offered here, we have to wonder why this version wasn’t cloned instead.
This all said, Candy Glyph is fun and the bonus features trigger often. Free Spins are a little more difficult to claim but, with multipliers worth up to 99x, they’re worth the wait.
