Big Catch Bass Fishing Win Stepper™ Verdict: Unfair Mechanic Is a Big Catch Letdown
This game could have been a solid alternative to the Big Bass franchise. Although the theme is extremely similar, the gameplay is different. It’s got some fun ideas that make it a unique experience on a market full of uninspired ripoffs. However, there’s one aspect that completely ruined the attempt to diversify.
I really don’t like the Power Play feature. I don’t think it’s fair, and I’m disappointed that Blueprint put it into place. Having to pay 5x your standard stake to get access to a 50% higher maximum win is not a fair mechanic. I’ve always enjoyed Blueprint games, so it’s a shock to see this in place. It soured the experience for me and took this game from a 4/5 to a 2.5/5.
