Big Bass Halloween RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Big Bass Halloween slot has a 5×3 reel setup and 10 fixed paylines. All symbols pay from left to right on selected paylines. 3 matching symbols are needed for all symbols apart from the lifebuoy, which only requires 2,
Stakes range from 10p up to £250 per spin, thus catering to all bankrolls. Simply use the + and – buttons on either side of the spin button to adjust your total bet. Autoplay is available in most countries apart from the UK. You’ll see this option below the spin button. The same goes for turbo spins, available via the autoplay option.
The Big Bass Halloween RTP is 96.06%, slightly above the average for an online slot. However, it’s considerably lower than the original Big Bass Bonanza slot, which was 96.71%. It’s also important to note that some casinos might offer another RTP version of this game. The other 2 versions available are 95.09% and 94.09%.
In terms of volatility, it’s in the high range and rated 4 out of 5 by the provider. The hit rate is 1 in 7, which is very low compared to a lot of other slots on the market. This means that just over 14% of all spins on average will result in a winning combination.
The maximum win is 2,100 x the bet. Again, this is low compared to other UK slots. Your best chance of landing the top prize will come in the Free Spins feature. More on that further down in the review. The max win probability is 1 in 711,744, which is very generous.
Theme – collect the blood-stained fish
A blood-soaked fishing theme? It seems odd but that’s exactly what we have here in the Big Bass Halloween slot. It could be argued that it was the easy route for Pragmatic – take a player favourite, add some blood and pass it off as a Halloween slot. It’s worked, to be honest, as I really like the visuals and the soundtrack used here. The audio is quite suspenseful and works well with the overall theme. I also like the Royal symbol animations when a winner lands too as the hook slices through the symbol.
Land the Free Spins feature and the audio intensifies with Wilds being added to the reels. When a Wild lands, lightning strikes the reels as it’s collected and it’s all quite eerie. Well, it’s not if truth be told, but I can that feeling every so slightly. It didn’t scare me at all but that’s what the provider’s gone for here. I think if the volume was up high, you could get a little fright as you spin away.
On the reels, the A-10 Royals make up the lower-paying symbols. The higher-paying ones are fish, with any 3 in combination paying, a tackle box, a crow, a hook and a lifebuoy. The crow eating a dragonfly is a nice addition. The lifebuoy symbol pays the most, awarding 0.5, 5, 20 or 200 x the bet for 2, 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
The game’s Wild is the Fisherman, who looks scary dressed in dark clothing and waving a hook around. The Wild only appears in the Free Spins feature, so bear that in mind.
The fish symbol is also the Money symbol. On every spin, the Money symbol takes a random money value which can be won during the Free Spins feature. The possible values are 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x or a whopping 2,000x.
Here’s a helpful table showing the symbols you’ll come across in the game:

Big Bass Halloween mobile
Pragmatic Play has created mobile, tablet and desktop versions of the Big Bass Halloween slot. The solid graphics and soundtrack work well on all iOS and Android devices. The 5×3 reel setup is ideal for mobile play.
Big Bass Halloween Bonus Features
There are 3 bonus features in the Big Bass Halloween slot game, with the Free Spins feature being the main one. The other 2 are Buy options that aren’t available to UK players. Read on as we run you through the ins and outs of the Free Spins feature.
Free Spins Feature
Land 3 or more Scatters to trigger this bonus feature. Here’s how many free spins you can get depending on the number of Scatters that land in the base game:
- 3 scatters = 10 free spins
- 4 scatters = 15 free spins
- 5 scatters = 20 free spins
The Wild comes into play during this bonus feature and each one will collect all values from the Money symbols on the reels. All Wilds that land will be collected and added to a meter above the reels, as you’ll notice in the screenshot above.
Every 4th Wild you collect will retrigger the feature and award 10 extra free spins. The multiplier for the first retrigger will increase to 2x, with it increasing to 3x for the second retrigger and 10x for the third. After the third retrigger, no more additional free spins can be won. This means that there are 50 free spins in total up for grabs.
Randomly, when there is only 1 Wild on the reels, at the end of that free spin, Money symbols can appear in random positions.
Buy Bonus Feature
Non-UK players can pay 100 x the bet to buy the Free spins feature. You can also increase your base bet by 50% to give you more chance of landing Scatters on the reels.
Big Bass Halloween Slot Review Summary – a good blood-soaked reskin
Anyone who enjoyed the original will no doubt enjoy this reskinned release. The big Bass Halloween slot has been given a solid makeover that plays well and offers exciting gameplay with Money symbols that could lead to instant 2,000 x bet payouts.
One thing that lets the game down is the max win potential of 2,100 x the bet. Although it matches the original, let’s not forget that it was released way back in 2020. Slots have come a long way since then, so it’s a shame the max win is so low. Take Big Bass Hold & Spinner Megaways for example – 20,000 x max wins.
When thoroughly testing this slot, I managed to trigger the Free Spins feature quite a few times, which bodes well. It can certainly get a little boring in the base game, so I’d say stick with it if you feel the same until the bonus feature hits. It takes the game to a new level in my opinion.
If it’s Halloween, give it a go. But if it’s not, then I won’t blame you for skipping this one. However, overall, it’s a fun slot to play and will appeal to anyone who loves the fishing theme and the Big Bass series of slots. Don’t hesitate to try our free Big Bass Halloween slot demo and decide for yourself.
