Theme – years of huffing and puffing continues
The theme here is all about the Three Little Pigs fairytale. This time there’s a twist with the pigs bringing the steel to defend their house. The provider has enjoyed plenty of success with 3 other titles relating to this fairytale, so it was obvious that another was due at some point down the line. While the third pig in the fairytale built a house of bricks that the wolf couldn’t blow down, they’ve chosen steel here, which should be no match for the wolf. You always wonder whether another follow-up to an already popular series of slots will rock the boat, but the Big Bad Wolf: Pigs of Steel slot is a roaring success in my view. It mixes the old with the new very well, and I really enjoy the gameplay and just how well it aligns with the fairytale overall. The movement from the straw house to the house of wood (sticks in the fairytale) and then finally to the house of bricks and steel is a really nice touch.
I’ve mentioned the previous titles but what are they? If you’re not familiar with this series, they are the Big Bad Wolf slot, the Big Bad Wolf Megaways slot and the Big Bad Wolf Christmas Special slot. You can argue that the Megaways version, which was the very first Megaways slot from Quickspin, is the best due to the brilliant mechanics used and the 30,540 x max wins. This one isn’t too far behind that in my opinion. The base game is fun, the bonus features are superb and the overall look and feel of the game has improved in my opinion.
