The setup in Pragmatic Play’s Badge Blitz slot is nice and simple. The action plays out on a classic 5-reel, 3-row, 25-payline machine. Like in many other online slots, land 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols or wilds from left to right in a payline, starting from reel 1, and you’ll get yourself a winning combination.
You can join the sheriff at bet levels between 25p and £250 per spin. Use the + and – buttons next to the spin button to adjust your stake. Alternatively, click on the settings button and pick from there.
There’s an autoplay function which lets you set up between 10 and 1,000 autospins. There are also options for quick and turbo spins. None of these are currently available to players in the UK, though.

Theme – Tumbleweed and Guns A-Blazing
A dusty, desert Wild West town is the setting for Badge Blitz. Set against a backdrop of wooden buildings, the reels are set within ominous gallows. There, you’ll find A to J royals, a Stetson hat, a pistol and holster, a stagecoach and a bag of dollars. The moustachioed sheriff is the most lucrative standing symbol, paying 8x stake if you land 5 in a line.
The horse is the wild symbol. This can land anywhere apart from reel 1 and substitutes for all the standard symbols when it makes up a part of a winning combo.
The wanted poster is the scatter. This can hit on the middle 3 reels only. Land 3 or more to trigger the Free Spins.
The other symbol to keep an eye on is the Sheriff’s Badge, which triggers the re-spins feature if you land enough of them.
I really liked the design here. Everything is clear and easy to make out. The twangy soundtrack has a real Wild West flavour and complements the imagery superbly. It’s bold, brash and works very well indeed.

Land a Sheriff’s Badge, and the value of the coin symbols is added together and paid out as a prize. The badge then turns into a coin, and the re-spins reset to 3.
The round continues until you run out of re-spins or you fill the whole of the game grid with coins. Each coin is worth between 0.8x and 16x stake. Badge Blitz Verdict – Plenty of Wild West Fun but with Small Gains
I found plenty to like in this cowboy adventure. For starters, it looks and sounds terrific, almost at the level of the best online slots I tried. That counts for little if the gameplay doesn’t match, but thankfully, it does in Badge Blitz.
I’ve seen free spins and streak re-spins in countless other new slots, but in Badge Blitz, they both come with a little something extra that makes all the difference. I especially liked the re-spins, where a good haul of sheriff’s badges can really get things moving.
The Badge Blitz RTP of 96.5% is pretty solid. The only slight negative here is the max win, which is a little light at 3,000x stake.
If you can’t get enough of all things Wild West, this sheriff shootout is well worth a closer look.
